But is hasn’t because Northern Ireland is being treated differently. Treating NI differently wasn’t on the ballot paper any more than treating London or Cornwall or any part of the UK differently.
That's the border issue with the UK and Ireland. NI and Ireland don't want a hard boarder, the flawed Back Stop Agreement was agreed to safe guard the Good Friday Agreement (GFA) because placing a hard border on the NI and Ireland border would jeopardize the GFA.
LOL. Starmer telling the LABOUR party not to cozy up with trade unions is perhaps one of the most blatant upside down policies one could dream up. They really have abandoned the working classes in favor of the land rover class and the immigrants who mow their lawns.
You do have a point. I wonder if there is any way to kick the English out of England, it would be a nicer country if only because it might eliminate the inherent English racism at a stroke. To my utter shame I have to admit to having been born in Kent.
If Scotland wanted to go independent, then the English should be included in the vote because they would soon get rid of the sponging ginger inbreds.
Correct; the Britsh people were duped by the lies told them by Boris and Nigel Farage. And the complicity of David Cameron who promised the referendum because he was afraid of losing votes to UKIP.
I think the Scots are being played by those who want to sever England from the oil and gas in Scotland.
The Scottish bravado clouds their vision, what they fail to see is, if a referendum was held in England, they would vote to get rid of the Scottish in an instant.
I keep asking myself when some of the candidates say they want to take advantage of the Brexit opportunities.. What are they then? For example free ports where goods are put into warehouses and stored . They are supposed to bring lots of work to the areas. What kind of work? The high skilled high wage kind of work the government want to promote? Or warehousemen ? Is the government going to build more homes for the influx of workers or just let the market put house prices up and price the locals out of buying ? Who is going to store their goods in a country which has to pay tariffs to export them nearly anywhere in the world? Why is no one asking these questions?? What other benefits? The members of the EU could already raise and lower VAT across a large range of percentages and even more freely now so why hasn't the chancellor lowered VAT to try to cut the cost of living? He isn't restricted anymore. OTOH the EU has cut the UK out of most scientific research, preventing involvement in profit and growth in new materials and space exploration. There really is no answer to the NI issue. Either NI is treated differently or the birder moves to the old one and the Good Friday agreement is destroyed...and with it free movement across the border. Or Ireland is united under the EU...I don't think so. In a time when all countries are struggling with their growth and interest rates, the EU will trade within and outside itself. Liz Truss has not done trade deals which will benefit the UK. and most of the deals the UK has are the ones it had before Brexit. So where are the opportunities there? So can anyone tell me what the opportunities are?
One of the famous group of liars who filled the British média with the most appalling mind bending misinformation. One has been thrown out for thinking the British people will never wake up and call him out...it worked once, why not keep doing what seems to work? Unfortunately Britain can't publicly defenestrate Farage. He was clever enough to leave the ship heading into the fog.
Whoever wins this endless contest, nothing will change. Neither one has the faintest idea what they are doing. The last election was won on promises based on the then easy landscape . The same way they won Brexit. All shining promises. Once challenges came they didn't have a clue. They don't have a clue. Truss wants to reduce taxes...and who pays most tax? It doesn't apply to those who need most support. The rest of her tax réductions dont cause à ripple when your energy bills quadruple. None of them can govern when faced with à serious challenges. Rishi is talking over the head of most Tory party members. Truss is using the right "language". Whichever one wins that rabbit in the hat is going to have to be huge. There are already whisperings of public dissent.
