The lawyer, Drew Finding was for the Georgia election probe case.

 

Was he not President with the GOVERNMENT packed him up, inventoried what he was taking and sent the list to archives and fbi.

"The National Archives found more than 700 pages of classified material — including “special access program materials,” some of the most highly classified secrets in government — in 15 boxes recovered from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in January, according to correspondence between the National Archivist and his legal team.

The May 10 letter — posted late Monday on the website of John Solomon, a conservative journalist and one of Trump’s authorized liaisons to the National Archives to review papers from his presidency — showed that NARA and federal investigators had grown increasingly alarmed about potential damage to national security caused by the warehousing of these documents at Mar-a-Lago, as well as by Trump’s resistance to sharing them with the FBI.

These records included 700 pages of classified material, according to the letter, sent by National Archivist Debra Wall to Trump’s attorney, Evan Corcoran, and it doesn’t include records recovered by the Justice Department and FBI during a June meeting and the Aug. 11 search of the Mar-a-Lago premises.

Wall’s letter describes earlier correspondence in which Trump’s team objected to disclosing the contents of the 15 boxes to the FBI."

"I write in response to your letters of April 29, 2022, and May 1, 2022, requesting that the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) further delay the disclosure to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the records that were the subject of our April 12, 2022 notification to an authorized representative of former President Trump.

As you are no doubt aware, NARA had ongoing communications with the former President’s representatives throughout 2021 about what appeared to be missing Presidential records, which resulted in the transfer of 15 boxes of records to NARA in January 2022. In its initial review of materials within those boxes, NARA identified items marked as classified national security information, up to the level of Top Secret and including Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program materials. NARA informed the Department of Justice about that discovery, which prompted the Department to ask the President to request that NARA provide the FBI with access to the boxes at issue so that the FBI and others in the Intelligence Community could examine them. On April 11, 2022, the White House Counsel’s Office—affirming a request from the Department of Justice supported by an FBI letterhead memorandum—formally transmitted a request that NARA provide the FBI access to the 15 boxes for its review within seven days, with the possibility that the FBI might request copies of specific documents following its review of the boxes."

Up until June 19,2022 Trump's WH counsel Pat Cipollone and his deputy Philbin were the designated representatives.
Both were interviewed by the FBI about the missing documents.

On June 19 2022 Trump sent a letter to the National Archives designating Patel and Solomon.
What we do know is that Trump as an ex=president can't blow fairy dust out his ass and give these 2 guys top-top security clearance.
These 2 blabbering arrogant fools are playing with fire.

How dare a current president be in the loop when hundreds of top-secret + documents are missing and the culprit is an ex-president who won't return all of them.

"In the wake of the Aug. 8 raid of former President Donald Trump’s Florida home, much ado was given to the independent nature of the FBI as the Justice Department distanced itself from the unprecedented act only to have Attorney General Merrick Garland later declare he “personally approved” the search.

Similarly, President Joe Biden’s administration has leveled that the White House had no prior knowledge. However, John Solomon, journalist and founder of Just The News, brought receipts to show “they were deeply involved.”

Legal scholar and former Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz had a different reaction. “I was very surprised,” he told Just the News after he was asked to review the documents. “The current president should not be able to waive the executive privilege of a predecessor, without the consent of the former president. Otherwise, [privilege] means nothing. What president will ever discuss anything in private if he knows the man who beat him can and will disclose it.”

“The best thinking is that an incumbent president cannot waive the right of the previous president,” Dershowitz went on. “It would make a mockery of the whole notion of privilege.”

They have his records in two warehouses that they govern. They are the ones who are going to digitize. Catch up.

 

Obviously it sets a dangerous precedent. Instead of more transparency it could encourage the opposite. Giving the POTUS counsel would take on a new face when those giving it could be exposed to government harassment. Even if innocent of wrong doing their lives could be ruined nonetheless.

 

It looks like you're confusing the "executive privilege" and the "attorney-client privilege", which is something completely different and is not being discussed here.

Trump hired Steve Bannon's lawyer Evan Concoran to represent him with the stolen documents etc.
Trump's embarrassing court filing over FBI search/seize discussed.
It's also being reported that Trump hired Concoran without ever having met him.
I guess Trump was so impressed by the job Concoran did at Bannon's trial. 2 guilty verdicts.
