It's appears the left's drive to push unpopular issues and propaganda on our kids just may be 'transitional' and might/hopefully be coming to an end (sorry, couldn't help using that transitional word) People don't want their kids going to school and coming home after class thinking they're racists or the wrong gender. People also don't want their kids to learn all the different pronouns and which kids get called along with the complication that kids could switch genders on a moment's notice. If that's not enough, then there are all the other genders that haven't been announced yet but will be taught about and the kids forced to remember those, too. And if I recall correctly, and I usually do, schools wanted kids punished if they misgendered another kid and I believe one school district threatened criminal charges against kids who do. And the parents in Florida don't want their kids getting medical treatment behind their backs or being gender transitioned in secret. None of that stuff is appropriate for school kids and the parents of Florida agree with me. Just say no to indoctrination.
People who say this aren't opposed to indoctrination, they are just opposed to the content of the indoctrination. We all indoctrinate our kids, it's called parenting. Our communities indoctrinate our kids. Our churches indoctrinate our kids. Our kids friends indoctrinate them. Believing that we should wear clothes in public is the result of indoctrination. Being anti-indoctrination would require you to live alone in a cave.
Being told to wear clothes is a lot different than being told what someone's beliefs should be or how to think. Clothing serves a vital function for everyone, things like safety, convenience, warmth, sanitation, etc and clothing related, pronouns and grooming serve no one.
Not really the point. The indoctrination many parents are concerned about is the propaganda that this country is a despicable, racist country.
It's probably more about what the parents want the schools to teach, e.g, reading, writing and arithmetic, than what they don't want schools to preach. When we see how students are underperforming it's clear that our schools shouldn't be wasting time indoctrinating them.
I'd rather my kids learn how to spell, how to write in cursive, learn how to solve math problems, learn about the real history of this country, learn this country's geography, learn how to read, and learn how to be responsible. The parents are able teach their kids what's ok or not ok about the rest. Our education system has average reading, math, and science proficiency scores and that's after the courses were dumbed down. Before that, we were in the bottom 13 of all major industrialized nations. You'd think the teacher's union would be more focused on bringing those scores up but it's like they don't care about the future of the children at all.
declaring war on teachers is probably not the overall best thing for children, i expect many issues with quality in the future, dont worry tho the rich have their own schools
Parents teach kids how to put on clothing. I know some leftists would love to help the kids of other parents put on clothing, but that’s a parent’s job.
The utility of thinking for yourself should be as self-evident as that of wearing an extra layer of protection from the elements over your skin.
Parents don't know what they're doing. Only the brainwashed "educators" know what to do with your children.
Parents can smell a pro-groomer Leftist. We only like sensible Leftists, true Liberals and parent respecting Conservatives, Libertarians and Constitutionalists. CHANGE: DeSantis-backed candidates flip Florida school board from leftist to conservative. 'Conservatives across the state of Florida celebrated on Tuesday night after control of the Sarasota County School Board shifted from leftist to conservative.' 'Bridget Ziegler, Robyn Marinelli, and Timothy Enos were all endorsed by Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and were all victorious Tuesday night in their elections for the Sarasota School board.' 'Various conservatives in the state touted the victories and suggested they represented a shift against Critical Race Theory and other "woke" policies that DeSantis and Republicans in Florida have railed against.' "Sarasota School Board had a 3-2 leftist majority," Christina Pushaw, rapid response director for DeSantis's reelection campaign, tweeted on Tuesday night.' "Today @RonDeSantisFL endorsed candidates won and flipped the school board so it’s now 4-1 anti wokes indoctrination and pro parental rights." I wonder how the woke indoctrinator slipped through. Charlie Crist will face DeSantis in FL for the Governorship. DeSantis favored 89%-11% in the betting odds.
Nice twist, attempt at muddying the waters. We all know what that poster was referring to, though, and his point was that he opposes progressive left indoctrination in our public schools.
Which is what I said. He is against the content of the indoctrination. Using the word indoctrination like it is a bad thing is not helpful. People should do better at saying what they mean.
Great news for the future of education in Florida. It means kids will get an actual real education instead of stupid social justice warrior b*******
For once we agree, but indoctrination should be in tune with the spirit of The Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.
I clarified for you as to what he meant, and now that you have the proper context, you know that he used the word indoctrination as a bad thing. I'm not interested in beating a
