It’s been almost a year since I’ve worn a mask, how about you?

Odd. I don't know what you think you're accomplishing by doing so, but you do you.

It might mean nothing to a Branch Covidian who wishes to keep his head in the sand, but to a rational thinker it means a few possible things: [1] that the jabs are not working to prevent infection, as was promised. [2] that Biden is lying about getting the jabs. [3] both 1 & 2.

    This question applies to you.

Disease is not a quantifiable thing. One doesn't have 27% COVID or 85% COVID...

And as I've said before, the COVID jab (not a vaccine) doesn't have a higher than 50% efficacy rate (when basically everyone who is getting jabbed is still getting COVID anyway).

I'm comfortable with it. About half the people I see in the stores are still wearing them, apparently so too are they.

50% is NEVER "success". 50% in school does NOT get you a diploma. 50% of flights not crashing is FAILURE. 50% of the time you don't die in your sleep... 50% of births don't kill mom and baby... 50% of appendectomies don't end in infection and death... 50% of the time you don't kill anyone when you drive... 50% is NEVER SUCCESS!

Doctors are no longer demanding masks in their offices. I was surprised.

Success is dependent on the endeavor. Get one hit out of 4 at bats and you’re batting .250 which is good. 1 out of 3 is .333 which is excellent.

In poker you only have to win about 10% of the hands you are dealt to be successful.

Alrighty. Some people are quite comfortable with it indeed, but that doesn't answer my question of what you (and others) think you (y'all) are accomplishing by wearing a mask around everywhere.

    Why play word games?

Vaccine: A preparation that is used to stimulate the body's immune response against diseases. Vaccines are usually administered through needle injections, but some can be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose.

Indeed, vaccines train your immune system to create antibodies, just as it does when it’s exposed to a disease. Each of the COVID-19 vaccine causes the immune system to create antibodies to fight COVID-19. Therefore, vaccines.

Soooo... 50% dead is a win to you? When you got 50% in math... you were doing ok? Did your parents agree? If you only get 50% of the salary you want, you think that's grand? 50% getting COVID is a real winner to you? Ok... if you say so. Although I agree that there are exceptions like baseball... the NORM is that 50% sucks.

Depends on the doctor and the office... My particular doctor doesn't, but the UW Hospital for example still does.

And then it depends on what "the norm" is for the particular thing in question.

In baseball, getting 3 hits out of 10 at bats is above the league standard of .250, so that is widely considered to be a "successful", or even "good", batting average. However, if the league standard is .750 and you're only at .300, then you're doing a very poor job at batting.

In the case of vaccines and jabby jabs, many of them work over 90% of the time... meaning that over 90% of people who get those vaccines do not subsequently become infected with the disease that they were vaccinated for. In the case of COVID jabs, most everyone who got those jabby jabs ARE subsequently becoming infected with the disease that they were jabby jabbed for. Thus, the COVID jabby jab is VERY unsuccessful.

I have to go to the hospital next week so I guess I'll find out what their policy is.

I wear one for approximately 40 hours every week at least, just as I have since the pandemic started. It goes on when I walk in the front door of my assisted living job, and comes off when I get back in my car.

I don't whine about it. I don't resent it, and I don't complain about it any more than I complain about my having to wear pants and shoes when I go in to work.

How is someone wearing a mask affecting you?

I was asked to wear one last week. It was very tyrannical and I felt like shooting my way out of the place

I wore a mask today just to be polite to other people. My little one has a bad cold as well as Scarlet Fever which is rampant in her school right now. Having the cold myself (minor version) and having been exposed to Scarlet Fever, I decided to wear a mask shopping so as not to expose anybody to my cold and possible infection with strep A. I also used hand sanitizer. It doesn’t hurt to be considerate of others, does it?

Did I ever claim that it affected me? Pay attention.

I said that it was an odd thing to be doing. IOW, there's no logical reason for doing so.

My mom passed last June. I had to wear a mask at the hospital while visiting. I think I had to wear one in September to be allowed on my job site. Thankfully not since then.

I started wearing one again when I got sick after vacation. My wife and I were both sick and didn't want to pass anything around. Other than that, I haven't worn one much recently, except when visiting my dad since he's at high risk.

I'm willing to bet that you wear one because your assisted living job forces you to wear one and you are manipulated into believing that wearing one is somehow providing some sort of benefit to someone, thus it's the "morally superior" thing to do.

Yeah, there's a reason why surgeons never wear masks, right?
