This thread is about a High School Volleyball team with a transgender and transgenders in general in sports. In many High School sports a male can simply declare to identify as a woman and they qualify for competition. Hormones and body parts are irrelevant. Up in Seattle a male who came in 72nd place as a freshman last year, just won a conference championship as a female in his freshman year. No hormones or body parts required. It's an IDENTITY. Something within the mind, not the body.

The Olympic Committee makes (the lack of) hormones a massively relevant for transgenders, to make it fair. You now saying some male winning whatever from women without any kind of treatment would be no mystery to anybody.

Currently, there is just 1 transgender who won a gold at the olympics, as a midfielder in a soccer team, and the person doesn't score for crap all. And that's it. They simply put up are harsh rules on how those people may compete in a fair way. And they know everything about how things are fair in sports, and when people are cheating with hormones and dope. That's how it's currently resolved on the highest levels. I see no reason why this must be changed, since those people do not dominate the sports like that one bit.
