Anyway, this was a crime, but in my post in the other thread, it does not meet the standards per California law that this is a hate crime. Simply yelling "white privledge" or whatever does not make it a hate crime. To recap, California Penal Code 422.6 states the following for it to be considered a hate crime:

• Act willfully; AND,

• Use force; AND,

• Interfere with another's rights; AND,

• Act because of some characteristic; AND,

• Intend to interfere with the person's rights.

the person did act willfully, used force and because of some charisteristic, but it is yet to be proven whether he was interfering with another's right or intend to interfere with the person's rights. All aspects must be found in the crime. And it has not.

Each state that has hate crime laws on the books vary differently somewhat and it is up to that state's legislature to make it so.

 

Likely the same view as the perp. GUILTY because of skin color.
