I have not been a student since early '00s. But I hear a lot of horror stories about modern University life: How bad is it really?
Your quotes sound very much the gripes of a person, or people, who have a highly slanted view of things. It is unbelievable to me that, "all (they) hear, every day (is) "I hate men." <your snip> I’m in college, and man, does it just rag on men. All I hear every day “I hate all men”, “we should lock men up”, “men cause the worlds problems”. It’s just making me more and more depressed. I’m at the point where I don’t think anyone will love me because women just hate men. It’s too late, it’s just rotting my brain. I can’t take it for much longer. I hate just going outside because it’s all I hear. <End> Sounds like this guy is just a failure with women, so is blaming it on them, don't you think? He might just as well be calling all women, closet lesbians. Compare that, to this quote, of someone on the Right, who seems to ever be hearing "everyone on the left...condemning white people." I suggest that both speakers, at best, are wildly exaggerating, akin to someone having a tiny zit on their face, which they think of as blocking out all of their other features. Steve N said: ↑ You brought hate against gays Muslims, blacks, etc. Have you watched the news lately? Black leaders are condemning white people, white democrats are condemning white people, everyone on the left is condemning white people all because of something black people did. Who is doing that to blacks, Asians, Muslims or anyone else you mentioned earlier? <End>
As I have said, I do not know what is going on in modern Universities, but I do read a lot of horror stories. Another example:
My point was that, the number of women who actually do this, are a relative few, of all the women at those guys' colleges/universities. They are just overly focusing on those few, for whatever reason. I am positive, this is not representative of the entire female student bodies. EDIT: The only reason that you only see the complaints about women, is because no guy is going to post: "Wow, women here actually like men!!!" Think about it.
I guess it is a matter of who you hang out with, where you hang out, and how offended you are looking to be. Avoid the student union and attending campus events that you know are not geared toward you, and life on campus is a lot less offensive. Then again, I worked so I was straight to the parking lot after most of my classes and not back until late during the week when I lived on campus and when I lived off campus, I was straight from the parking lot to class and straight back most days.
I graduated in 2002. I never heard anything even remotely as hateful in my university days. I am just curious if anyone has first hand knowledge of modern higher education.
I can't believe males are allowed in any university, it's so bad. edit: You have some words about something. no context. no source. just words written by someone unknown. How's anyone suppose to even give a legit comment?
No need to be sarcastic. Maybe someone who is in a university now can tell me what is the climate on modern campuses. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, misandry was rare in universities. I had arguments with people about gender issues, and I was never subject to disciplinary action for my views.
What disciplinary action is the OP referring to? The little quote or whatever it was has no reference to anything. Nothing to be referenced to for some concept. It's just words. No one even knows if they real or sarcastic.
If I knew I would not be asking. I can only say that in two Florida universities I went to in late '90s and early '00s, misandry was rare, and I was free to challenge it. Does anyone know about the climate on modern campuses.
The gender gap between men and women earning university degrees is wider now than it was in 1974. In 1974 men dominated universities and earned more degrees than women. Today the situation is reversed. More women earn university degrees than men by a greater margin. Since the stereotype is that men dominate, speaking out on this subject will get you booed off the stage.
At least in my experience in late 1990s early 2000s, opposing views were tolerated. I spoke up on discrimination faced by men. I was neither booed nor subject to discipline. What is the situation in 2023?
If there were another huge war that required a draft/conscription would they draft women to maintain gender equality?
I just read an article about a 16 year old Catholic student who was arrested in a Catholic school because he doesn’t believe that gender trumps biology. As a Christian, he feels that there are only two genders. He was banned from attending classes with trans people in it. When he attended anyway, they arrested him. Not a uni, but it’s still noteworthy. Have you ever seen Jordan Petersen try to give a lecture on campus?
lot of bad hookups and dating in college, sure many after a break up say that they hate women, or hate men... but all they hear is that, lol, what must they be saying to women to hear that ALL the time
all in how he said it, was it constant, need more details, if it was a Catholic school, sure they leaned with a bias in his favor... "was arrested in a Catholic school" that seems like more than talk, what was the charge
If a male student said he hates women, he would be suspended or expelled. Women saying they hate men is almost fashionable in Modern World.

Hopefully American men would not fight for a Society which discriminates against them. In Russia and Ukraine, men are valued as humans.
ah, so not the USA would like to hear from a less biased source, but if that was ALL he did, agree, should not of been arrested
