NATO becomes a coalition of the willing

NATO Defense Ministers met in Brussels to sign a Convention amending the statutes of the Alliance.

From now on, NATO will be able to be at war outside the scope of Article 5, in other words without one of its members being attacked. The idea is to turn the Organization into a “coalition of volunteer countries à la carte”. In the cross-hairs are Russia and China.

I came across this short notice last night. Has anyone of you any more info on this? To me this seems to be a significant change towards becoming more aggressive. But... could some member countries also refuse to attack?

A quick scan of the 'net did not uncover any other report on the alleged modification of the charter.

IF the Russians converted their industries into making munitions years ago, then they should have no problem winning this war. But it seems to take them awfully long, just to get their act together. Unless, of course, this is somehow their special plan.

 

This is because of either socialist laziness or socialist disinterest in defending their own countries. NATO's main objective is now to defend all NATO countries under any circumstances since most of these NATO countries are socialist and would rather build large Ferris Wheels or build car free zones in cities, for examples, than have an army which could defend itself....Let's just call NATO 'universal military care' (like universal health care) for eastern European countries...

No wonder more and more socialist European counties want to join NATO...The US pays for most of the services of NATO and socialist European countries don't want to pay for their own military protection.

 

Yeah ... seemed to be there for a bit "Coalition of the Willing" .. but starting to fade curdle and break .. longing for the days in the warm embrace of Russian Gas. Politicians in Germany pubicly expressing this groundswell sentiment .. energy heavy industry crippled ...

And now we find out - International Terrorism .. this act of sabtoge .. US - Norway - The folks that did the deed those who were there many expressing immediate regret .. realizing was dumb move ..

I know, France is quite disillusioned with NATO. The Germans are also fed up to fight for others, especially for the Americans.
Aren't there already some 28 countries in NATO? They wouldn't be fighting each other! The only real threats are from China and Russia. And they would use nuclear bombs, which NATO doesn't have, except for the Americans. The Americans would be the only targets of China and Russia. What on earth could all these little European countries do with their bows and arrows, now that Germany has given away their super tankers, "Leos #2"?
If the big planners had any brains, they would put their thinking efforts into figuring out, how to get along with each other. Does that go over their brain capacity?? Nature already gives us enough challenges to deal with.

 

Yes, the pipeline sabotage was a real dumb, childish deed. Hurting Germany, their faithful vassal the most, but also the other European countries. What for? What do the Americans gain from it?
But then, NATO was meant to keep Germany down.

I can't say what Russia's strategy is. I'm just sure they have more missiles and ammo than what we were told a year ago.

Anyone who thinks the claims in this OP have merit should note that the article underneath it on the website repeats claims that the US caused the earthquake in Turkey & Syria. Sorry, I have not heard of any regrets from the "Terrorists"!!! Are they actually capable of feeling sorry for what they did? Probably only because they cut into their own flesh. Who, in his right mind, will still trust the USA?
