Here's what I found quickly. It wasn't conclusive one way or another, but there is proof that Rittenhouse shot a dude 4 times before the others chased him down, giving validity to the idea that the last few shot were attempting to stop an active shooter.
The jury found him not guilty, but that doesn't mean it was clear cut.
Personally, I think he was guilty of a lesser manslaughter charge. But that's just my opinion.

I agree with you, I think he was over charged, and that is why the jury said not guilty

the second half of this case, both sides thought they were in the right... one side thought they were stopping an active shooter, and the other thought they were trying to kill him, both can be true - doesn't have to be one or the other

the first killing is the question mark (that is the part I wish we had more video of, the actual interactions that led to this)

 

There is plenty of video and testimony showing the justified shooting and what happened before it. Even video of the first guy who got shot claiming he was going to kill. So like I said. It never happens. KR wasn’t required to let them kill him, he took reasonable justified action.

 

Already been done, your refusal to do even basic research on this subject is your own fault. And the victim here is KR, who just happened to come out on top.

 

Incorrect, only KR was correct in this case. His attackers yelled out that he was a right wing fascist and yelled to kill him. They attacked him, knowing who he was, even with skateboards not because they thought he was an active shooter but because he was a white right winger who was helping render aid and put out the fires these terrorists were starting.

His attackers got what they deserved.

 

You can choose to be wrong if you want, there is video of the first person who got shot directly telling right wingers he was going to kill them.

We have seen exactly what led up to this. And his next attackers knew who he was, he wasn’t a random person to them. They knew him as the guy putting out their fires.

I'd like to believe you, but you are making it difficult due to your bias assumptions on what people "thought was going on". Armed right winger for some people can be synonymous with active shooter.

Peoples ignorance with conflating armed right winger to active shooter doesn’t justify their actions even if that were true. Secondly they literally posted on social media thier intentions which was mentioned in court, and yes I have seen the video of the first guy who got shot specifically claiming he was going to kill right wingers. The left is simply attacking KR for purely political reasons.

And my own policy remains the same, I’ll never do the research for those who should have done it well before stepping into the discussion. I go out of my way to be informed on topics I speak about, I expect the same of others.

 

I disagree. While not speaking for the left, I think Rittenhouse is a childish, stupid, immature idiot. Nothing to do with politics, everything to do with my disdain for the willful idiocy that defines him and the aspiring violence behind those that cheer him on.
