Your point? Shaman walking the halls didnt obstruct anything. Those who fought against the police and broke through the doors and windows obstructed congress.

Its how they define social justice that is problematic. Primarily equity over equality.

Yeah, sure. Whatever you say. If three credible linked sources do not convince you that you are wrong, nothing I care to do to convince you otherwise. :bye:

My point is that he was part of that crowd. Everyone who entered the Capitol that day was part of the crowd that obstructed Congress.

Your sources talk about his popularity WITH REPUBLICANS. I don't know how to break this to you but Republicans are not the only people in this country.

If an election where Trump lost by 7 million votes does not convince you that you are wrong then I don't know what to tell you.

4 years serving as President INCREASED his vote count while 4 years of Obama and most all passed presidents serving as President DECREASED his vote count.

If the DOJ doesn't cough up an answer, then it looks like Chansley's due process rights were violated.
What could the possible repercussions be if they don't respond? A lawsuit against the DOJ?

Apparently, the issue revolves around the issue of specific videos NOT being provided BEFORE the Guilty Plea was entered...
Chansley’s allies say the footage aired by Carlson might have changed the case against him. In Sunday’s filing, however, the Justice Department contended that it had shipped all but 10 seconds of the footage to Chansley’s attorney by Sept. 24, 2021 — about three weeks after Chansley pleaded guilty but more than a month before his sentencing.
Shipley, Chansley’s current attorney, said the Justice Department’s argument appeared more focused on the substance of the videos than whether it had violated Chansley’s rights by not producing them to him prior to his guilty plea. Though prosecutors touted that it had included them in a mass production of Jan. 6 video that it provided to the hundreds of defendants with pending cases connected to the riot, Shipley said the Justice Department was “oddly silent” about whether it had met its burden to produce specific videos to Chansley’s previous lawyer, Al Watkins.

    So what?

He still had 7 MILLION fewer votes than Biden. The MAJORITY of Americans are not buying the BS that Trump is selling.

    What?
You are claiming that all former incumbents DECREASED their vote count?

The post that you responded to is so ambiguous that I can't even figure out what the person is "claiming"...
Especially, in regards to "passed (sic) presidents"...

If anyone has anything more recent, a list of the arrested and some of their charges and sentences. (Times source updated 3/8/23)

Take a look at the last paragraph. A misdemeanor for parading around the capitol. I think most were charged or will be charged with this or other misdemeanors.
Seems more than strange that of the 1,000 arrested, so many are still waiting for their trials.

Jan. 6 Capitol Rioters Arrests and Sentences So Far | Time

"More than 1,000 people have been arrested for storming the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, with charges ranging from obstruction of an official proceeding to assault. But 26 months after the attempted insurrection, a significant number of rioters are still awaiting their sentencing.

Around 42% of those arrested—420 individuals—have received criminal sentences, while the rest are waiting for their trials or haven’t yet reached plea agreements. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, 220 defendants were sentenced to periods of incarceration, with longer prison terms for those who engaged in violence or threats. So far, the median prison sentence for the Jan. 6 rioters is 60 days, according to TIME’s calculation of the public records. An additional 100 rioters have been sentenced to periods of home detention, while most sentences have included fines, community service and probation for low-level offenses like illegally parading or demonstrating in the Capitol, which is a misdemeanor."

We'd have to see ALL the videos. I'm not taking the word of the DOJ that he obstructed anything, after learning that Chansley's due process was violated though. He was overcharged. If charged he should plead guilty to a misdemeanor or illegally parading or protesting at the Capitol but the goons at the DOJ wanted to make an example out of him because, to them, he fit their corny profile of a so scary looking violent "seditionist." #ShamanBadMan

don't need to, it's the law and incontrovertible. you just don't want to admit it for obvious reasons.

But I will say this, when your side decides to do CW again, the current US millitary bases in that state or states will not yield to the insurrections at that time as it was done then.

Why is it his problem you can't figure it out?

Why doesn't @Overitall want to admit to because of obvious reasons?
    Let's see your work.

Regarding the "your side claim", what side is @Overitall on? Go ahead and show your work for that one too.

It is painfully obvious plus you admitted as such when you stated, and I am summarizing here, you made the statement to that effect. But his constitutional rights were not violated. I understand what Jonathan Turley stated and its typical of defense attorneys to make that statement. They want the prosecution to be exactly precise while defense attorneys will not be that precise. Furthermore, you know this is BS by the amount of airtime this is getting in the court of public opinion rather than the court of law. There is a relationship that is unwritten in legal circles, the more the court of opinion is used by the defense, the weaker their case is.
