I asked about "batteries". "Assault" does not even involve touching.

The DOJ/FBI has had over 2 years to release video of all these "assaults" with identification of all the criminals involved.

And he repeated that so many times over the next 4 hours calming down the rioters.

    No wait...

You have been disinformed. The Inconvenient Truth:
"In fact, DP politicians and the MSM believe elections and voting machines are rigged whenever they think they might lose an election." Ddy

Example: “WASHINGTON — Minnesota Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who is pushing a bipartisan election security in Congress meant to harden defenses against interference, said Sunday that she fears the 2018 midterm elections are still vulnerable to hacking.

"I'm very concerned that you could have a hack that finally went through. You have 21 states that were hacked into, they didn't find out about it for a year," she said in an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press.” Amy KlobucharU.S. Senator for Minnesota

Dude, give it up. You're beating a dead horse. :deadhorse:And now you're creating a straw man.

You understand very well what Trump said and he deserved to be laughed at. Germany was already supplying half its energy needs with renewables in 2022 before the gas was even cut off. Plus, gas was supplying only 25% of the country's energy needs (of which ~55% was coming from Russia at the time). How in the hell could Germany EVER BECOME "totally dependent" on Russia for energy?????

Stop trying to make a stooooopid man look smart. It makes you look like a cult follower looking for a messiah. Think for yourself and be willing to accept the facts as they are.

Germany was already supplying ~24% of its energy from coal. They didn't have to "revert back" to it. They just had to temporarily increase its use to make up for temporarily reduced gas supplies. Also, Germany produces most of its coal and imports very little of it. Germany has no intention of maintaining this increased use of coal - nor of gas/LNG & oil - and plans to be off of all fossil fuels completely by 2045.

The former German government said that the planned exit from nuclear and coal-fired power generation means that mid-term gas demand will increase. However, many analysts doubt that total natural gas demand will rise during the energy transition as efficiency increases and renewables, storage and ultimately renewables-based gases (such as green hydrogen) will cover more and more of the energy needs across Europe.
    https://www.cleanenergywire.org/factsheets/germanys-dependence-imported-fossil-fuels

Sure. Tell that to Trump who rolled back 100 environmental regulations, appointed an Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson to Sec. of State, and put America on an even stronger track of being fossil fuel dependent.

Speaking of Rex Tillerson (the one who reportedly called Trump a "moron"), here's what he said of Trump:

Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Trump: ‘We’re in a worse place today than we were before he came in’
The former Exxon Mobil CEO told Foreign Policy magazine that Trump’s “understanding of global events, his understanding of global history, his understanding of U.S. history was really limited,” [...] “It’s really hard to have a conversation with someone who doesn’t even understand the concept for why we’re talking about this.” [...] "[Tillerson said] he started “taking charts and pictures with me because I found that those seemed to hold his attention better.”
    https://www.dallasnews.com/news/pol...e-place-today-than-we-were-before-he-came-in/

Whatever you like. But some advice. You may not want to start a debate if it means defending Trump.

We get it bruh. You love your hero, Trump. It's unfortunate for you and all the other trump loving reds that history will not be kind on him. Perhaps this is why your side is so persistent to cancel history? LOL

So far I have German leadership admitting they made a mistake and shouldn't have ignored "western partners" (Trump)
I've showcased a cost Germany has had to incur for ignoring Trump as they had to scramble to shore up 25 percent of their energy.
You wanted to brag about Germany going full renewable...but they are now burning coal as a result of their mistake in not listening to Trump and in part for getting off of nuclear.

I mean...there is no part of ignoring Trump while laughing at him as being a "win" here for Germany. He was right. They've said as much.

There is nothing left here but denial.

    * Source? What is "Ddy?" This ridiculous, and baseless accusation, is obviously from a fake news source.

    You are incorrect-- I have
not been "disinformed." It is you, apparently, who has probably developed (as opposed to having been burdened with, your entire life) an inability to see things clearly, for what they are. Being concerned with election hacking, generally, was in 2018, only an example of prudent common sense. Did you even read your quote-- 21 states were hacked into, but it took a year for them to realize it! It had also been incontrovertibly clear that Russia, for example, had tried to influence not just our own 2016 election, with its social media trolls, but elections in numerous European nations. We had also seen infrastructure hacks, by foreign actors. IIRC, a voter list, from a government file, had also been breached, in 2016. And yet most Republicans, in charge of Congress, were at that time, not doing anything to make our elections safer (contrasting starkly with the later voting restrictions, enacted by state Republican pols, purportedly because they were so concerned, about "election integrity," which the national GOP didn't seem the least concerned with, after Trump's victory). This is not at all the same, as if Klobuchar had said, that "if I don't win, it will mean that the Republicans cheated," as Donald Trump claimed about his Democratic challenger, prior to the 2020 election, and as numerous Republican candidates have also claimed about their own 2022 midterm races. If you cannot see that these are two utterly different things, you are hopeless.

"not only been clear that Russia, for example, had tried to influence not just our own 2016 election"
Humor me... Show us Russia tried to influence our election...
13 Russians were indicted ... tell us what happened with that scenario...

    Spot on!

The Jan 6th insurrection nonsense is to distract from the fact that thousands of peaceful protestors showed up after the corrupt election.

It's not relevant WHY there were only 2 Republicans on the committee. The fact is that's all there were. So yeah, super impartial!

I thought that you said that he was "imposing & crazy." So by detaining him, wouldn't that make it less work to deal with the others?

Forget about the possibility of him being arrested. You said that he was "imposing" and that the cops might have been worried that he would injure them. Why would they be worried if they had guns? You pain them as absolute dickless pus*ies.

    Tucker's words?

A "couple?" Yeah, more like the biggest media outlets in the land.

I agree. And it's funny how they are never so hasty in printing that which makes Democrats look bad. It only ever goes one way. Why do you suppose that is?

So you did not hear the reporting that Sicknick was killed with a fire extinguisher?

My point was that you referred to one particular area: Houston. Big effing deal.

Listen, I think that Trump's lack of action during the riot was a disgrace. But we all know that he doesn't have a properly functioning brain. I would think that he in his mind downplayed the violent element of the overall protest, and thought that it had a good chance at being rolled back to a peaceful protest after the rioters were dealt with, and that if he told them to go home, he would loose that opportunity. In the end he did tell them to go home. FAR too late of course. But the simple fact remains: there is ZERO evidence that Trump wanted violence.

I asked you to DEFINE "MAGA." And you replied with the above. You're a smart guy - I'll let you figure out where you went wrong with that.

I have, and I found this:
South Carolina Republicans propose controversial abortion bill that could lead to death penalty | Daily Mail Online

The language in the legislation is not explicit - it does not state that women should receive capital punishment, but says: 'Enforcement is subject to the same presumptions, defenses, justifications, laws of parties, immunities and clemencies as would apply to the homicide of a person who had been born alive.'

I mentioned McCarthy & McConnell because that's who I think of when I think of "leadership." They are the Republican Party leaders in the House and Senate.

No, they cannot tolerate ANY version of Democrat rule. Nor can the Democrats tolerate any version of Republican rule. The idea is to DEFEAT the opposing party. This should not be news to you.

    And the Democrats?

I am referring to Act 77.

Okay, so you seem to be lacking commitment to your claim which I challenged. Just as a reminder, you claimed that there is a link between the Republican Party and 733 right-wing hate groups in the US. Do you stand by this claim?

You said 'authoritarian figures" Plural. As in more than one! You went on to only said Trump in a subsequent reply.

Notice how I did not exclude Trump from my list.

That does not match the definition of "grifting."

So when he ignored the advise to keep several thousand troops in Afghanistan, that wasn't being involved?

    Yeah that sounds like Trump.

How would investigations of the military impede "meaningful policy" from being passed?

You know what it means. You just for some reason don't think that the term could be applied to someone who infiltrates a group and becomes aware of a plan of that group. Very odd indeed.

"Totally dependent" as in, in order for the energy system to remain stable. Trump did not say that Germany gets 100% of its energy resources from Russia. That is your interpretation. So Trump was 100% correct. Stupid Germany certainly gave themselves a hell of a headache by relying so much on a country which is lead by a foul piece of human waste. But yeah, they got back on track -- not without significant difficulty and change to their energy policy.

Yeah, good luck Germany with that target to be carbon neutral by 2045! :roflol:

So what do you think the "focus" was of Jan 6 and the 2020 riots?

So you don't believe that there was a protest aspect to Jan 6?

So they should've put the whole hearing on hold because McCarthy, et al. were being whiny bitches? They had their chance to put more Republicans in. It's their loss.

You really think it would've made a difference? There were ~2000 others in the building. All the cops needed to do was ensure the shaman didn't get to any of the lawmakers, which is presumably why they followed him. Their primary job should be to protect lawmakers & staff.

Not saying that at all. They would certainly have arrested him if he didn't have 2000 buddies in the building.

Sounds like something Tucker would say - "hardened conventional wisdom."

Makes no difference if it was one or a hundred or how big or small they were. It was a relatively minor mistake of which the truth would've come out sooner or later. What's important is that the authorities & investigators had the truth.

On the other hand, Fox news is notorious for lying & deception and never retracts their stories - because they know their viewers wouldn't want to hear the truth & they don't want to lose their viewers.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_News_controversies

Only goes one way? You sure about that?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_News_controversies

No. I watched some of the J6 event live because it was interesting, and recall seeing a fire extinguisher being thrown at & hitting a cop outside the building. But I didn't follow the details of J6 too much after that other than occasionally watching the news. I'm not much of a news watcher.

It wasn't supposed to be a big deal. Just pointing out that the truth about Sicknick was revealed only two days after J6. Who knows how many people believed what. If some of the news outlets that said Sicknick died from injuries were aware of him having a stroke, but buried it, who knows. I wouldn't tend to believe that though.

I'm guessing the outlets that made a mistake were being hasty - because the death-from-injury story would've seemed more logical considering that Sicknick, who was young and should've been fit & healthy, had died the very next day after J6. Who would dream that a young, well trained, healthy looking man would die of a stroke the next day after a violent riot involving clashes with cops?

I don't think you understand what 'TOTALLY' means. It means 100% - it means ALL OF - it means the ENTIRETY OF.

So if you're TOTALLY DEPENDENT on something, you have NO OTHER alternatives to depend on.

Says the person who's country will never achieve it.

Germany is already halfway there with half of its energy supplied by renewables. Norway plans to be neutral even sooner - by 2030. I haven't looked at the other nations. European & Scandinavian nations have strong environmental laws & leanings to begin with. If anyone will do it, it's them.

No not at all. They were totally free to go through with the totally not impartial charade as they did.

Why participate after the act of bad faith of rejecting some of the picks?

The Shaman looked like the most motivated. Hell, you even called him "imposing & crazy." How many others were "imposing & crazy" like him?

Yes, and if he got to where the lawmakers were, then what? Just continue to follow him?

You said that he was "imposing" and that the cops might have been worried that he would injure them. Do you stand by that?

Yeah, two can play at that game: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CNN_controversies

Nice try, deflecting once again to Fox News. But we were clearly talking about the media outlets which reported on Sicknick being killed with a fire extinguisher. You put this down to them being too hasty in printing what they were told, rather than malice, something with which I am inclined to agree. But do you put ALL inaccuracies which make Republicans look bad down to haste?

The key point here is that REGARDLESS of the motivation, this false story was widely reported as was the 'deadly insurrection' narrative that it helped to fuel. And so Tucker was simply using his large platform to set the record straight.

Yeah, I mean I think it's quite clear that his death is connected to the events of the day before.
