Obviously you aren't familiar with the details of the story.

In particular, prosecutors have been focused on a document that Mr. Corcoran drafted last spring stating that a “diligent search” had been conducted at Mar-a-Lago and that no further classified material remained there — an assertion that would be proved false. Prosecutors have been seeking to learn what Mr. Trump knew about that statement, according to people briefed on the matter.

If prosecutors are ". . .seeking to learn . . . ." how is it that they've already concluded that it's a false statement? Did Corcoran admit he knowingly submitted a false statement? The details you've presented don't prove anything other than someone is speculating.

The sad part is that the judiciary system has become so politicized that one needs to look at the political affiliation of the judge before you accept his ruling on the face of it. This is a dangerous position. The judiciary is supposed to be the unbiased referee in disputes, but when you can’t trust their judgments the whole system is in jeopardy.

    Only politically. Not true legally.

They missed something. So what? Biden missed a bunch of stuff, too.

It's a false statement because classified docs were found at MAL after Corcoran's letter claimed there were not.

ABC News reported Tuesday that D.C. District Court Judge Beryl Howell found sufficient evidence that Trump may have intentionally concealed the existence of additional classified records held at his Florida home from his attorney Evan Corcoran.

Well, turns out the documents that he said they had searched for diligently and hadn't found were actually there after all. So either Corcoran was lying or Trump had lied to Corcoran and Corcoran decided to just go with it. Pretty straight forward.

Trump would count that dubious belief as a personal victory. He wants people to lose faith in the system so that it all becomes subjective. However, please note there were many Trump appointed judges who ruled against his court cases when he was trying to stop Biden's certification. Not all rulings are politicized.........though Don wants you to think any that go against him are.

They apparently "missed" a lot, even after supposedly doing a "diligent search." Cute excuses, though.

Absent a sign statement from Corcoran admitting he lied in the previous statement, he can simply claim that he was told all documents had been turned over and he believed what he was told. Do you really think Corcoran personally searched through every nook and cranny? Do you believe Trump did, or was he told no more was on the premises?

It is. And the courts agree. And you and Trump have offered no excuses that change the obvious.

So you think he's going to give them a signed confession? Most likely he will appeal the judge's ruling. It's a rare one and dangerous.

It's already been appealed. The appeal failed. There's nothing dangerous about it . . . it's the crime fraud exception. Been around for a long time.

I see where the DC court of appeal denied Trump's attorney request to the lower courts ruling being overturned. That's just step one. Has Corcoran agreed to appear and waived any further appeals? Even should he appear he still has the 5th.

He'd have to go the the SC next, and there appears to be no appetite for that, nor does there appear to be any case on his side. If he doesn't agree to appear, he'll be arrested. Trump is scared that Corcoran will testify that Trump lied to him. And, frankly, either Corcoran lied to the feds, Trump lied to Corcoran, or both. There really isn't another option.

Yea, I read where a "source" claimed "Trump’s side is unlikely to appeal to the Supreme Court.", but the fat lady hasn't sang yet. He's scheduled to appear tomorrow, but a lot can happened before that. A single SC Justice can order a stay.

ETA: There's one other option. They both were lied to.

Why do you persist with these false analogies? A letter signed by one of Trump's attorneys, based on assurances given to Corcoran, plainly stated there were no more classified docs in Trump's possession at MAL. The letter was a lie.
