@Turtledude Are FRT's secure enough in their legality to go ahead and purchase one for my 10/22? I have lots of .22 that needs to be deconstructed. In a hurry.
I was not really familiar with that one-I know several friends who have "binary" triggers. The ATF under Biden is trying to criminalize as many current legal owners and devices as possible https://attorneysforfreedom.com/are-rare-breed-frt-15-triggers-legal-or-illegal/
"Lots of .22s"? I saw a cool toy in a story about a guy who took two ruger 10/22 with fifty round banana magazines, built a frame to fasten them side by side on a tripod, then fitted a cam with a hand crank to fire each barrel at alternating intervals with a turn of the crank Gatling Gun style. Cool can popping toy IMO. Not sure if it's still legal or not to put one together. This magazine story was from the mid eighties.
I remember those-it was legal because it was hand cranked. real gatling guns are not machine guns unless they are electrically driven
Heads up! I hope this ain't you SiNNiK- I would think it should take legislation and not some whim of the ATF to prohibit items. Posted on Youtube a couple days ago.-
Cranks are legal as long as they're hand cranked. Add a drill to a hand crank and that's a machinegun. The "trigger" becomes the drill's trigger and if you hold it down it fits the statutory definition of full auto. Unlike a non mechanical bumpstock.
