I've worked in around the Federal government in DC for a long time and one thing I've learned is to give claims like yours a week or two to age. Odds are really good that the whole thing will change by then.

 

Oh but it's true. Surprised you didn't already know about it as it was announced last night.

 

He'll be convicted. He has no case. No one seriously doubts that. But I doubt he will go to prison and he can still run for President. It's a sad state of affairs that the GOP is going all-in on this weasel turd.

 

Those incompetent rubes were briefed; this is an attempt to use a failed accusation to slander Biden.

Just like Democrats must have been 100% sure of themselves when they decided to impeach Trump a couple times.

Maybe you're new to the whole concept, but the reason we have trials instead of of just indictments is that there's a whole different part of the story that hasn't been heard yet.

And given the actual conviction rate with Trump so far, I'd put the odds of being convicted at a good bit less than 50%.

 

It will be interesting to see if this helps or hurts Trump in the polls.

 

With his cult followers it will probably help.

 

Show us the law that requires documentation and verbal notification.

Under the Espionage Act, the docs absolutely have to be classified...lol

You are literally claiming that the President can mentally declassify anything he wants, without informing anyone, and automatically make those documents personal rather than official (through some magic). According to your "logic," Biden can declassify EVERY DOCUMENT IN THE US GOVERNMENT, declare those documents now personal, and sell them to China for billions and you'd be AOKAY with that.

The warrant issued mentioned nothing about anything classified in the laws cited. Lol.

 

They were. They were 100% sure he would be impeached, that they could PROVE that he committed high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the Senate would refuse to remove him regardless of what they proved.

Trump aide Walt Nauta indicted in classified documents case

CNN — An aide to former President Donald Trump has been indicted in special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the mishandling of classified documents from the Trump White House, two sources familiar with the indictment tell CNN. Walt Nauta’s indictment is the second in the special counsel’s investigation after Trump was indicted on seven counts on Thursday.

An attorney for Nauta declined to comment. Nauta was with Trump at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club this week. The specific charges against Nauta have not been revealed. Trump responded to Nauta’s indictment on his social media Friday, writing, “They are trying to destroy his life, like the lives of so many others, hoping that he will say bad things about ‘Trump.’ He is strong, brave, and a Great Patriot. The FBI and DOJ are CORRUPT!”

Nauta’s involvement in the movement of boxes of classified material at Trump’s Florida resort had been a subject of scrutiny of investigators. Nauta, with the help of a maintenance worker at Mar-a-Lago, moved the boxes before the FBI executed a search warrant on the Palm Beach property last August.

According to court filings last year, the FBI found more than 100 documents marked as classified during the search, which took place weeks after a Trump lawyer signed a statement attesting that the Trump team had complied with a May subpoena seeking production of all documents with classified markings.'

No. I'm not. And I never claimed to be. But I do believe in the law and due process. Nothing here has violated that.
I believe that the Orange Stain is a career criminal, based on ................... his career as a criminal. A con man since he entered into his first "deal".

Yes it is, and there is no doubt about it.

 

As much as I would like to see that happen, I doubt Trump could prevail in the general this time. Mainly because, like in 2020, the entrenched establishment, republican and democrat, will do anything and everything they can to prevent it. They have too much to lose.

On the other hand, if democrats succeed in locking him up, then republicans can use the "too old" stick to beat Biden with, a stick that's off the table with Trump the nominee, and perhaps bidens biggest Achilles heel.

If Trump does not end up nominee, and stays out of jail, then he will monkey wrench the entire thing handing victory to the democrats.

Hate to say it, but, best strategy for republicans, as I see it is, hope the democrats lock him up.
