https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fe...race-rule-gun-accessory-registration-deadline so the article continues on to say they’re trying to get clarification for who this ruling effects. Whether it’s everyone or just those in the lawsuit. However I can say I’m a proud member of the FPC so I’m saved no matter what. They (the FPC) did the same thing for bump stocks and when they done that I chose to be a member going forward. The bump stock injunction was for only members before the ruling so it didn’t save me from the bump stock injustice but it will for this one. I highly suggest all gun owners to become a member of the FPC.
It’s just an injunction, not a constitutionality ruling. It also may only effect the parties in the lawsuit. But it’s a step in the right direction
Most people are ignoring the law (though they cannot really determine how many people did what I did-I took the brace off since it was the original SIG which had a pure pistol buffer tube) 3-40 million "braced pistols". Less than 260K registered
no-what was required was registration under the clearly unconstitutional 1934 NFA-was "short barreled rifles". The ATF first ruled that pistols with braces were NOT SBRs but under senile Joe and GunGrabbing Garland, the ATF CHANGED ITS position and claimed pistols with braces were (in most cases) SBRs
I'm all pro-braced pistol but I honestly do not understand their purpose. I'm pro just about anything that the gun grabbers think is scary looking. Trump got bump-stocks regulated by decree, and now Biden is just capitalizing on the precedent. Both bans are illegal. You can't legislate from the executive branch.
Pistol braces? To steady the firearm, especially for the disabled - for pistols, they are rather large and heavy.
For the disabled, sure. But if both your arms and hands work it sounds stupid to me from a tactical standpoint. How are you supposed to maintain dexterity with your firearm strapped to your forearm? From what I have seen the braced pistol's grip is in the way of doing anything with your hands except firing the pistol. How am I going to strike a match to light a cigarette? It's not an accessory to war or fighting. It's a gun range toy IMO.
It does give you a stable platform in an emergency, and braced ARs are pistols, which in some states allows the bearer to carry them concealed and loaded.
I saw a fellow with a braced AK-47 shooting at the range once. I had my PAP SKS so we were both shooting 7.62x39. Man was that MFing short barreled thing LOUD! Not my cup of meat, but if sombody wants or needs one they should get one.
