    That was literally Trump team's excuse in court at first (before Trump contradicted it). And, yes, when you have people packing up tons of documents for you, these things happen. It is hardly the first time.

    I understand the hyper-partisan propaganda campaign against the President, and will take any legal charges against him seriously when the required evidence is presented by the Republican-run Congress or anyone else.

    In the meantime, imaginary charges against him do not serve as a diversion from real ones against 2020's loser.

    The DOJ that couldn't contrive any charges to "Lock her up! Lock her up!" throughout the four year of the Trump regime?

    They need actual evidence, apparently.

    Some of the documents (I've read in the news) was from his days as a Senator. That brings up the question of: Why (and how) did he remove them from the room where reading classified documents is permitted by members of Congress? "Immediately" is a laughable claim. I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night to fool me into that bs.

    If you believe charges should be brought against the National Archives, you could write to a sympathetic Congressman or two, I suppose.

    Suit yourself. I doubt you use the same standard when it concerns Trump. Does he get the same benefit of a doubt or have you concluded he's guilty as charged?

    If anyone "makes up" evidence, it is exposed by defense attorneys and the case dismissed.

    (See the dozens of frivolous challenges to the 2020 presidential election that were laughed out of court, even by Trump-apponted judges.)
