They are not in possession of any tapes.
They don’t know for sure that the tapes really exist.
All they know is that one person claimed that another person said they have the tapes.

The right is trying this in the court of public opinion. For the right the accusation is much more valuable. Tomorrow I’m going to go to the FBI and claim Trump showed me a top secret document, and then I’m sure you and yours will then switch to believe it that Trump actually did violate national security laws…right ?

What I'm getting at is that some nuclear information is more "secret" than other stuff. You might, for example, recall that Hillary said something about how long it takes to launch a nuke in one of the 2016 debates. People **** themselves that she may have disclosed classified information. Maybe she did and maybe she didn't. It's hard to tell because classification tends to be based on the understanding and intentions of the individual tasked with the classification process. Two people might look at the same thing and come to different classification determinations. Also, if what Clinton talked about WAS classified in 2010 that doesn't mean that it was still classified, or relevant, in 2016. Technology could have changed in that time period to make her comment inapplicable to the then current time.

Additionally, recognition that a given organization was, for example, researching a new fissile material refining process might be classified as "secret" while specific aspects of that process would be "top secret". In such a scenario it's possible that the original report would be "restricted data" but, assuming the program was abandoned, would then be reclassified as "formerly restricted data". Classification of information is a ubiquitous issue with the government and TONS of stuff gets classified for really stupid reasons.

 

No they shouldn’t. ITS JUST AN ACCUSATION !!!! Thats the problem here is that when an accusation is made, in the court of public opinion is just becomes a fact that is irrefutable. So if the “Burisma executive” says its true, do we actually need to see the documents, or any real proof.

But since were here, you heard the Tape of Trump to the Georgia SOS, we know he tried to get them to change the counts right ? Doesnt that automatically make him guilty of tampering ?

Also, just becuase someone says something, does not make it true. ESPECIALLY in american politics.
