July 3, 2023 is the hottest day ever recorded on earth... https://www.yahoo.com/news/world-registers-hottest-day-ever-155017716.html But global warming is a "hoax" according to all the non trained climate experts here on this forum.
Temperature readings can be influenced by putting sensors where the people placing them feel they can get the results they want. Like putting them in big city heat islands and airport tarmacs. I don't trust Greta Thunberg to give me unbiased data.
You have ANY evidence.....ANY at all....that that has anything to do with what the story is about? ANYTHING?
The far more pressing and justifiable reason to pursue replacements to our dependence on organic reserves is their unsustainability, imo....
You're right, it's all a huge hoax that the whole world is perpetrating on you just to make you uncomfortable. Everyone is in on it. All the space agencies from NASA to Roscomos to the CNSA. All the governments. Hell, even the oceans are in on it by raising their water levels just to confound you! They are all out to get you!
When I was growing in the 1960s our family used to go to the movie theater to cool off. It didn't matter what movie was playing it was the air conditioning we were after. These days when the temperature gets over 90F everybody starts screaming global warming. I'm kind of old school I expect it to get hot in the summer time and I'm seldom disappointed.
And yet its still nowhere near the hottest period of time recorded in the history of life on earth. The earth has been ice-free multiple times, and life yet thrived. Antarctica not only used to be thawed, it was a rain forest. More CO2 causes plants to require less water to grow and thrive. We can argue about whether the long-term global temperature is rising or not, but what isn't debated is that more CO2 and higher temperatures also make the earth greener as plants photosynthesize more efficiently, desertification reverses and frozen tundra thaws into forest and grassland. I'm less interested in whether the temperature is going to rise a bit, and more interested in how that can possibly be a bad thing. In the grand scheme of life and civilization, some people having to move a couple miles inland over the next couple hundred years due to slowly rising sea levels isn't that big of a deal if it means we can start growing food in the vast, currently frozen and useless wastes of Antartica, Greenland, northern Siberia and northern Canada.
Sorry, but it's impossible to arrive at a meaningful global temperature instantly. And the only people using the word "hoax" here are those attempting to put words in the mouths of skeptics.
Every month seems to be the hottest, the driest, the wettest, or whichever record-breaking event it is. Guest Blogger In short, we have had just two monthly records for temperature and rainfall in the last eight years; that is hardly “every month”, Ms Morse! . . . .
We are talking about human caused global warming. Different than the type of warming you are talking about
How so? Are we talking about global warming not caused by increasing CO2 from human industry? That's what I'm talking about. What type of global warming are you talking about?
How about Bloomberg? If you’re going to reject data, you need to address the actual data rather than your speculative guesswork about how it might be false.
Hot spells are localized. World-wide temperatures are not “spells”. YOU are not a climate scientist. Climate scientists are.
Slogans and denials don’t win an argument that has been won already by the polluters themselves AND scientists backing them up with hard data.
Unlike most other countries, the people of the USA have not yet learned that THEY have the power to drive change if they only get out in the streets and make sure they’re heard.
El Nino has not moved the needle. UAH Global Temperature Update for June, 2023: +0.38 deg. C July 5th, 2023 The Version 6 global average lower tropospheric temperature (LT) anomaly for June 2023 was +0.38 deg. C departure from the 1991-2020 mean. This is statistically unchanged from the May 2023 anomaly of +0.37 deg. C.
https://www.ercot.com/gridmktinfo/dashboards/fuelmix Ercot operates what is probably the most advanced grid on Earth, and it still failed under severe winter weather conditions. This is not a problem that can be solved by protests, imo. How would protests help, iyo?
It was climate scientists that told that short, "hot spells" don't comprise climate change, particularly AGW.
Yep! Certainly is. Hoax! Didn’t you see that snowball old Jim Inhofe brought into the senate that time?
