I suspect that I should be legally able to do so and that anyone who would violate my rights should be convicted for crimes. You know . . . like the crimes that Aldean is praising.

Yes, I do believe people would commit crimes against me if I did that. The difference between you and me is that I realize those ARE crimes and SHOULD be crimes. If you want to provide an "intelligent response," you are going to need to learn that. I won't hold my breath.

The song doesn't say "you won't make it down the road"...lol

You are as bad at reading lyrics as you are at using the forum search feature. " . . . but try that in a small town. See how far you make it down the road"

Hmm... I doubt your veracity here. I also suggest that you really aren't credible in ascribing "crimes" to what the song refers to. I understand it ruffles your authoritarian bent towards demanding and proscribing for others, but, well, let us just agree that I find if amusing that you take this tact given your volumes of posts to the contrary.. It just goes to this permissiveness that is so pervasive on your team.

It speaks volumes about you people that the single strongest argument against the song is based on a lie. I'm embarrassed for you.

What do you see here? what are you afraid of here? There really needs to be an admonish button...

Should someone who exercises free speech be allowed to make it down the road?

It suggests that people who engaged in these activities would not make it down the road. Try reading. I'm sorry if this is over y'all's heads.

no, violent people should go to prison for a long long time, either side

someone saying something mean is not an excuse for violence

same with someone asking you to wear a mask to go into a store and getting violent or what not

So, I'm confused here. So you say that hitting someone blindsided with a pipe is not a crime? Is this what you're defending here? It's so confusing what you believe you're willing to expect here. It's just baffling. Can you take a stab at being specific in how or what you think the song writers were getting at here? Perhaps you can cite one of those writers in their own words, because, frankly, your ability to be credible here is entirely suspect.

Then you are confused because you didn't read. It isn't that hard. I'm not using big words. I said it isn't a crime to burn the flag (though Trump wanted to change that), stomp on the flag, or cuss at a cop.

if you own a flag-you have the right to burn it (in a safe manner-if there is a drought, then obviously burning something outside can be restricted)

So, help me out here. It's the left who are defying things like "hate speech" as violence. So the same standards should be equally applied, to either political side, right?

Hmm.. So tell us again, given this, why you continue to demand that folks who "cussed out cops" on J6 are being prosecuted for this? You seem to be taking the civil disobedience thing to heart, and yet, at the same time, seem entirely unwilling to accept that it must then apply to everyone.

So, you're ok then with the lyrics of the song that suggest that should you do most all of the current list of things liberal DAs in large metro areas are not charging for should be charged then, right?

Nah, literally its red because the road is made of dirt that is red because it has a high clay content.

You've LITERALLY never heard the term "red dirt road"?
Are brooks and dunn referring to a road red because of blood from a corpse?

some lefties interpret something far differently than those who use the term, so they can take offense and taking offense has become a major weapon that the woke left uses as a substitute for logical argument

No one involved in J6 has been prosecuted for cussing out cops. If, in your imaginary world where that's even a remote possibility, that ever happens, I will donate to their legal fund.

Unlike you guys, I'm consistent on this.

This isn't even a coherent English sentence. Please rewrite it to something intelligible.
