A serious analysis of "Guns don't kill people... people kill people"

Absolutely! Send my kids to school without fear there will be a mass shooting.

 

Cops will shoot them with the cop's "assault weapons".

 

Have you tried just not being hysterical. The likelihood of being killed at school by a madman with a gun is extremely low.

I think your kids have much more to worry about being struck by lightning.

The whole school of mass shooting thing is kind of creepy to me there's things schools could do to make sure that someone with a firearm been done killing as many kids as possible can't just waltz in there and come down a bunch of kids but they don't do it because then it will take away the deaths that people use to try and support gun control.

So people like golum lick their lips in delight on a tragedy like this happens because then they can emotionally manipulate people into stupidity easier.

When you say poking holes in people is the only REAL purpose it logically follows there are “not real” purposes. Real vs not real. Binary. LOL. Not good at math are you. SMH.

So called assault weapons are designed for many purposes. Many shotguns that fall under the so called assault weapon “category” are specifically designed for use as fowling pieces. Many rifles are designed specifically for competition target shooting. Some for hunting. Many pistols that are called assault weapons as well are built specifically for shooting sports. As in the barrel, slide, etc. are specifically cut and weighted for that specific purpose.

You should be thankful so many people use so called assault weapons to keep our society fed and supplied with consumer goods.

 

@Golem. Your idea that all people who use guns or own guns or believe the 2A matters must be in agreement and are on a certain “side” is probably the most bizarre display of binary thought I’ve seen on PF.

The likelihood of them being killed at school is HIGHER than of you being killed in your home!

Even though the likelihood of any particular school being the scene of a mass shooting is low. ALL schools carry on drills, explain to their students that they could be killed at any moment by some NUT. And this is because YOU think that if we take assault weapons designed to kill as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time should be available to anybody in any neighborhood gun shop.

What “real” purpose? Orders of magnitude more so called assault weapons are used to supply you with food and consumer items than are used to poke holes in people. When I use a so called assault weapon it’s pretty real. When I kill an animal do you can have your food and consumer items without having to kill anything it’s pretty “real”. Your ignorance of reality doesn’t negate reality.
