Misotheists are right that a civilized person does not need a god do you agree i hate god for his crimes as, Macron and Scholz
I guarantee my immutable no excuses honor code beats the situational morality of most Christians and thoughts of a God are not part of the equation.
God hates unbelieving people and polytheists. But He always leaves a way open for them to surrender to Him.
Muslims have no logic why are you muslim if there is judaism and christianity? yes, you are a satanist and a sectarian because you support a criminal god
Because Islam is the simplest religion of them all, like a scientific theory. You only have to believe very few things, everything else can be logically deduced from that. God called me to follow his true religion (Islam) for more than 30 years. I always resisted until last year. I prayed the morning prayer at the local mosque. It was as if an energy beam did hit me.
Just a thought for you. Civilized people need something; a belief in a system that helps them have goals, helps them make decisions. How good that works depends on the validity of what they believe in. I believe a "God" is a substitute, a thing we create out of the need to find this. Helps us feel part of a grander plan, explains what we can't understand or accept- and believe in something that can't be proven, and often obviously doesn't make sense. One clue- all rules men make are temporary and variable. The basic rules of life are not man-made, and they are constants that never change. They have worked for millions of years, for millions of species, and done so without any other controls like governments, religions, psychiatrists, machinery, drugs, etc. What's more, all those species have thrived without poisoning the earth and destroying its natural resources. Long ago I was fortunate enough to be able to watch the most pristine examples of this perfection, and I always asked myself the same question- What do they know that we don't know? One day, I suddenly saw it. Nature equipped them all with everything they needed, all they had to do was follow the rules that were already programmed into them. A higher power is not a god you worship, it's a source you learn from. Hard to play any game well when you don't know the rules- and you have to know who's making those rules, or you will be deceived. Mother Nature is the power behind the rules that shape life, and became my higher power 40 years ago. Changed everything; life came together for me and has been so ever since. The fundamental rules are simple and few- and always work. My "bible" can be written on a business card. Nature is a teacher, and class is open 24/7- but you have to pay attention if you want to learn the rules that make life come together. The rules don't tell you how or who to be- they teach you how to find and be who you are, something every living thing on earth does well.... except humans. We have to learn how to be ourselves, and if you are successful, that is invariably a person you will like and be proud of. But- we do need something. There's an old song- You've got to believe in something, or you will fall for anything. True. Unfortunately if you don't believe in the right something, what you have fallen for still doesn't work.
I don't think my belief is that at all. Its the difference between having a course and a compass, and just hoping flying by the seat of your pants will work. I have seen plenty of what you refer to. Even within religions like christianity there are a multitude of churches, each believing a bit differently and thinking the others represent some kind of false religion. Weird. In my case, my "religion" has no god. I guess that makes it not a religion in the formal sense, but in my life it serves in a somewaht similar way as a guide. It is what I call a higher power, because it controls things not in control of people. But you don't pray to it, ask it for favors or try to negotiate with it, and it has no "deputies"- nothing equivalent to the ministers, prophets and various people in god religions who gain power by being the middle man and manipulating people. I think Mother Nature made the rules that determine how life will work. Learn them, live by them and strangely enough, it does. Nature is the teacher, no god involved in the relationship. And I do firmly believe that is superior to conventional religions- because it's real and it works.
If a person is sufficiently civilized, isn't that subject to the varied terms of each culture? The Spartans would call me a savage, for not training my whole life for warfare. Most Indians wouldn't approve of that training in the fist place, let alone any use of it. Since the tenets of a Atheism have no unifying doctrine, being a good person would just be a measure of how similar someone acts, to the religious people around them, in their culture. If each person decides for themselves what is right and wrong, that certainly is fair. But I'm not sure that leads to a society that has any cohesion, or makes any sense. On a fundamental level, well below religion, cultures prefer people who share their culture. New Yorkers like to be rude, Southerners talk slow, and Californians defecate on the sidewalk. Religion isn't the only place we vary.
Isn't god supposed to be a being of love, compassion , understanding and accepting of al people. this makes god sound like a dictator who has no use for anyone that does not totally believe in the concept. This is how the church interprets all this.........which reduces the god to a human level with petty human emotions. If there is a god, one would think that the entity would be much more highly evolved. and not resort to conditional conduct. I say "IF" because no one KNOWS for factual certainty. It is a BELIEF , not a proven fact. Humanity has BELEIVED in all kinds of versions of gods throughout history. We have no idea how people will think thousands of years from now. But....if a belief like this is important to one......that is fine and their choice. Now miso Theism is interesting. why would someone spend time hating god ......hating an unseen , possibly mythical entity ?? That makes no sense.
I don't think belief in a personal god is necessary, because in my view, there is no such thing, but faith in the concept that the essence of life has a spiritual basis, and that the soul of man is separate from his physical body, and is eternal, and the prospect that eventually each of us will achieve some kind of spiritual enlightenment perhaps in some future incarnation, and eventually transcend beyond the physical realm is a good thing. In short, faith in the idea that nature has something good in store for each of us, is a good thing, but knowing precisely what it is, if it can be known, isn't necessary.
