abortions are not killing babies, nice try

Forcing rape victims to have their rapists babies should be a crime though

want fewer abortions, push easy access to birth control, as well as education on birth control

pro-choice is a false name unless the baby is also given a choice to live or die

if you choose pro-baby death or anti-baby death then you are on the mark with what is happening

because the media has spun the message to dilute what happens; a baby is killed. It's a moral issue; plain and simple

extract the cells from the womb; are they human? Are they alive?

You spin a nice tale however it is human life which is snuffed. For those locations with capital punishment, the criminal is aware of those laws yet chooses to commit murder.

In the case of abortion, the human life gets no choice. They are sentenced to death with no defense, no trial; nada. Are you morally OK with the murder of human life?

Also, the defense of murder for those who are conceived by rape is for a very tiny % of babies.

This desire to kill babies perhaps stems from we as society not putting the responsibility of raising children back on the families. Instead, we give out govt money and let daddy, mommy, gramps, granny, auntie, uncle etc bear no responsibility

ok, is it killing a dog, cat...what???

if you need to hold onto the belief in order to somehow make you comfortable with the position of the Democrat party which you hold high, then that's on you.
Until such time as folks can accept that it is human life that is snuffed away, we can never have rational conversations.

Just because one claims that water is not wet does not make it so; even if it makes you feel better by saying it

the other side is when a pregnant woman is killed, the killer is charged with 2 homicides or 2 manslaughter charges

what is the right answer? Morality and right/wrong have left the building a long time ago. You tell me, how can you extract cells from the womb, view them and see that they are human and alive, and then state that it's not human life being snuffed away?
Until we can get to that important point, no serious conversations can be had. Yes, that might make some folks question their own morals as well as that of the Democrat party

Living in Ohio, I have been rather focused on this issue. Everyone-from liberal politicians' offices to Fox News analysts, have stated that well over 64% of all independents supported Issue one and most democrats did too. SEVEN OUT OF TEN WOMEN polled said keeping abortion legal was why they voted

ABORTION IS A LOSING ISSUE FOR THE GOP when the WORD BAN is used -it hurt the GOP in Virginia and it is mainly why Andy Beshear easily won reelection in KY when every other major state wide office went to the GOP-by big margins. Cameron was tied to BANNING abortion for RAPE victims

    "some folks"?
You may have a valid point...
Then again, "some folks" think that the Moon Landing was Faked, 9/11 was an Inside Job, The Election was Stolen, and Bigfoot Exists...
"some folks" are susceptible to believing a wide variety of misguided fantasies...

I think Issue one said abortion is legal up to viability. Of course the physician determines that. Issue One is a bad law but passed easily because the Ohio abortion ban was way to extreme for the tastes of most women, a large number of independents, almost all democrats and a fair number of Republicans

Choice should be up to the woman.
    Not the politicians.

It looks like abortion will remain a driving issue for 2024.

I believe there are a lot of people who didn't realize just how far into the gestation period that an abortion is allowed. I predict some serious buyer's remorse in the future.

Of course it is as I have shown you over and over. You prove my point how the left cannot have an honest discussion on the killing of unborn babies and have you resort to specious euphemisms to avoid what actually takes place. And then of course RAPE RAPE RAPE RAPE RAPE RAPE as if ALL abortions are due to rape with only 1% but then you CHOOSE to ignore the other 90% of ELECTIVE abortions on healthy babies. And of course NO victim of a rape is forced to get pregnant another canard, the drugs to prevent such a pregnancy are widely available just as BC which is now over the counter. Yet you want our ENTIRE abortion debate and policy based on RAPE. That is how weak your argument.

    Birth control is widely

Very few people (only about 5%) support abortion on demand after viability.

Even Trump understands that abortion bans is a losing, which is why he has flip-flopped on the issues ans is now campaigning as pro-abortion, or "pro baby death", as one poster defined it.

A woman can kill a baby at anytime before birth?

Again note the inability of the pro-abortion side to even discuss abortion, the killing of an unborn baby for no reason other than the mother wants to kill it.

    Not yet.

    ...
    Is abortion legal in Ohio?
Yes. The medical procedure is legal in Ohio through the point that a fetus can survive outside the womb, which is generally accepted as 22 weeks' gestation.

Ohio has nine abortion clinics, down from 23 in 2010. The Northeast Ohio Women’s Centers in Shaker Heights and Toledo, as well as Your Choice Healthcare of Columbus, prescribe the abortion pill for pregnancies at less than 10 weeks. In addition to medication abortion, the other six clinics perform surgical abortions.

Just read the pro-abortion side post here, they have to hide behind specious monikers and euphemisms and actually deny the science and biology.

    No they did not.

    ...
Ohio voters have defeated Issue 1, according to a race call by the Associated Press on Tuesday night. The no vote rejects a proposed constitutional change that would have made it harder to pass future amendments to the Ohio Constitution.

This means an amendment that could enshrine abortion rights into the state's constitution will need to pass by a 50% plus one margin when it comes up for a vote this November.

    Yes.

"“make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions” on matters including abortion, contraception and fertility treatment. It would also allow for abortions to be banned once it has been established that the fetus can survive outside of the womb, unless a physician determines that continuing with the pregnancy would endanger the patient’s “life or health.”.”
