I think this was an honest apology by them. I think they were trying to get into the spirit of the game and did not think things through. It happens. But hopefully they will learn from this experience.

You'd think, with all of their so called social activism, that they'd be able to shine their "shining light" on problems, yet they are unable to do so. The Liberals must pursue, in their mind the path of the 'left legends of folk'(IE: Dr. King, etc) because they are utterly incapable of solving modern challenges.

They thought so, and it was their own following on social media that was criticizing them. So, they apologized. I know its hard for you MEGA conservatives think an apology is a four letter word, but an apology is also an admission of guilt they "hear their critics" and will try to do better or say they did something overtly wrong, illegal, or whatever floats your boat. It is a form of politeness, something that Trump and his acolytes, including some posters on this forum, know nothing about.

 

Like you said, an apology is an admission of guilt. And they shouldn't apologize for existing. But the Liberal movement should apologize for the social harm it does and will continue to do, to the USA.

 

I wish there were a way to tell how many African Americans and American Indians were offended by the image of the child. I would like to know if this is a big thing to most or if most would say too many people are making much ado about nothing.

 

Apologizing isnt a bad thing when you have genuinely done something wrong. Apologizing because the leftist mob demands it, specifically when you havent dont anything wrong, is cowardly and ultimately counter intuitive. Standing your ground, not apologizing, and moving on with life is a far better alternative here.

You are changing the subject. I was replying to your accusations of cancel culture when the reality is MAGAs do it constantly.

 

No one is apologizing for existing. They are apologizing for making a mistake and not thinking things through. It takes a bigger man to apologize than one who never apologizes even when they know they did wrong. We call that arrogance, among other things.

I believe his apology was sincere, and should put this extreme minor issue to bed. It was his choice was it not? And I think he will still be able to go to Chief's Games and participate like any other fan. So, life goes on, so does existing.
