Biden did not preside over rising grocery costs. That's on the pandemic, and since then it's on corporate greed. No President can control either of those things, they can only deal with the aftermath.

The current economic boon only applies to those who are still wage earners. A good thing, but not inclusive of all Americans.

About that: Comer had been insisting on a public hearing for weeks, and only changed that when Hunter called his bluff and agreed to appear. Comer was suddenly adamant that it must be closed to the public. Hunter was there just yesterday, volunteering to proceed with a public hearing.

What is Comer trying to hide from we the people? There's nothing classified in the Hunter investigation, so why the need for closed doors? I'd like to see it, wouldn't you?

I don't care whose "fault" it is. I care because it is a serious problem for our country that our President, indeed the totality of the democrat party does not want to fix. Everyone knows that 95%+ (probably closer to 100%) of those 'claiming' amnesty do not qualify, including me, you, and the President. We need to start deporting every existing illegal on US soil, we need to speed up the process of denying asylum as it's a pretty simple process, and if we can't (more likely won't) make it quick (within days), then we should take their application, shoo them back across the border, and let them know we'll be calling if and when it's their turn. And... If they are caught on US soil after that but before their hearing, it's a felony with, oh, a 5-year minimum stint, and a lifetime ban from being in our country. We should also require all prospective hires to be processed through E-Verify, and arrest and imprison any employer, from the HR rep all the way up to the CEO and everyone in between that is a felony with a one-year minimum that cannot be pled out.

Or, we could just put automated machinegun turrets all along the Rio Grande.
