I was with ya that far. Imigration law has been broken my whole life; I'm 72, it's been broken with Democrat Presidents and Republican Presidents when ether's party had the Senate and the House or one or the other; or neither. The problem is illegal immigration/migrant workers are GREAT for business. The Republicans would never do anything about it, that would be cutting off their nose to spite their face. I have no excuse for the Democrats either. BUT! Immigration wasn't hunky dory Jan. 20, 2021 and then a steaming pile on Jan. 21.
IF "everyone knows" then put up a link because I don't know that.
IF you did that you'd put a LOT of Americans out of business.
Oh, good idea! Then you could go from bitching about how much migrants are on the dole (the really aren't) to paying for their whole life and you'd put a real strain on our already strained penal system.
Cool! You've just created a revolving door to our prisions. :wtf:
Yeah right! I wanna see you get that by the tRumpublicans in congress.
There ya go! That's Christ talking there.

Yes, prices are high, but in the long term, with the economic indicators, job losses should be at a minimum, job security, assuming everything else remains equal, is not a worrisome factor, and businesses see opportunities to invest to improve their revenue stream, and so forth. This is on a macro level. But inflation is reduced and price increases are not that worrisome as much as it was in 2021 and 2022. If this continues, the GOP, with the stock market at an all time high right now, should ease economic concerns politically come 2024. so, the GOP will need to find some other sucker punch tactic to try to fall back on and it won't be the "impeachment" of Hunter Biden that will save the day.

There is no such thing as ... "an open boarders guy". We ALL want imigrants treated fairly and within the law. Congress doesn't have the resolve to.

Yes, record low unemployment, 5% GDP, Fed pivoting toward rate cuts, but they are more hopeful of a Trump presidency than hard data.

John, I am going to explain this to you in a way that should make sense to you. The score of a football game where you are up 70 to 21 is not based on how the weather is or the refs calling the game or the fans in the stands. It is how the team outperformed the opposition. The team is the economy, all its nuances, factors, sectors, etc. The refs is the government, aka Joe Biden. The fans are the consumers. The weather is the consumer expectations. In other words, the more you complain that you are up 70 to 21 because you are blaming the refs, the more you are showing you don't know.

As for the border, we have discussed this before. Most of this is based on outside influences from climate change to economic and government insecurity in the alien's home country and our robust economy. That's it. It is broken, especially the humanitarian side because it is using definitions from an era called the Cold War where there were only two camps: The USSR/Communist Block and the Free World led by the US. That was it. Now there are 6 or 7 blocks at least in which a country can belong to more than one. They are not defined politically exclusively. They can be defined politically, economically, historically, or a combination thereof. But we need to improve the legal immigration system and bring it up to speed and less draconian than what it is.

Our inflation had nothing to do with fossil fuels, PERIOD. NO economic statistic will confirm that, absolutely none.

It was a combination of qualatative easement that started in 2019, the near zero interest FED rate that started in 2019, the Covid-19 international supply chain disruptions, read low supply when demand was high, and we were starting to get out more, causing more consumer demand with a tight labor market, even among refinery industry. The refineries did not meet demand, which is why gas prices skyrocketed beginning in 2021. Refineries is the production of the gas used in our conveyance vehicles of all sorts, and that demand was higher than what the petroleum industry was producing, but they had the oil to get it done, just not the workers to produce the gas from oil to get it done.

If I know what I'm saying is correct I don't need to back up my claims proving things to you isn't something I need to stroke my ego with.

Markets were reacting not to the exec orders exclusively, but to a whole lot of things that were mostly outside our purview. They reacted when OPEC Cut production by 3 million barrels per day. Markets reacted when we had higher demand for gas for our cars in 2021 because we were getting out of Covid and felling more comfortable to go out because of the vaccines that were being distributed. But the point is it was a whole lot of issues, not just one.

Check that "record unemployment" claim. Trump had several months in the 3's before COVID. I'd suggest you also check participation rate. GDP - get back to us when it's a trend not just a bump. Even given all that - Biden's numbers on handliyeng the economy are poor. Inflation is still humongous - although its GROWTH appears to be slowing". Almost six trillion in deficits with more to come.

People in this country won't save. We are already in a piss poor saving country compared to Japan, China, most European countries, etc. It won't be long-term CDs. Banks will try to sell jumbo CD where one needs a minimum of $250k or more with that 5% to 6% APR over a year or more. This will be done by businesses and will cash out whatever CDs they have, even taking the penalty, and get long-term CDs, but that would be 2% or less of their entire liquid asset portfolio. But for the average person, no, they won't do that. You will see retail companies offer more and more enticement to spend money so that the business can get rid of its old stock and have more money to obtain new inventory stock. That is what will happen.

The FED is expected to cut interest rates at least three times beginning in 2024 is what sec is stating. The economy is at a point of inflection where we are in a "sweet spot" so to speak. We still have a tight labor market, inflation is down, and going down, and if that continues, then interest rates would be cut. This would impact lending rates for mortgages, credit cards, personal loans, etc, and may increase the commercial and residential property market where we will see more positive growth. If this continues and inflation continues to go down, then we will be in a position similar to 1983 to 1984 when Reagan was President.

If you were serious you wouldn’t have elected a guy who has hired illegals. But Biden is trying to stop the amnesty claims of people who sneak in and was shut down in court.

I get it. You don't have a valid response to the fact that the U.S. economy, with very few exception's, has always done better when we have a Democrat as President.

Two significant examples of what happens, economically, when we have a Republican president would be the "Great Depression" and the "Great Recession". :bye:

Be happy! Ten years from now the United States will be the communist paradise, which is what your little professors in college wanted it to be. Whether or not you will be happy remains to be seen. If you are working for the government, maybe. If you are in the private sector, you might be pounding salt.

In the mean time the stupid immigrants who thought they were escaping a “communist paradise” will have voted for another one. When you think that government can make a life for you after they taken if from “the filthy rich,” you end up in the toilet. But you guys never learn because you believe communist professors who never create jobs or do anything else useful.

You've fallen, face first, for the oldest ruse in U.S. history.
First they're aren't that many Communists in America.
Democrats, don't want the U.S. to become communist; they just don't.
Just because educated people tend to be more liberal and vote liberal doesn't make college a "bad thing"
Wealthy people are not, currently, paying their fair share, No One wants to make them poor.
You really need to step away from your steady diet of radical news.

You think you are living in Hubert Humphrey land when hard core communists are calling the shots. Listen to AOC and The Squad. They are the heart and soul of your party. Perhaps you know that and are just stringing us along until you take control. If not, you will discover that you have forged you own chains of slavery. By then, it will be too late.

Yea, right. You use far left Hollywood clowns in your moving pictures. Only a fool would believe that bull manure. But when you have had 12 or 16 years of indoctrination, you can’t think out of the college or university box.
