California school goes woke and test scores drop

So a school with horrible test scores calls in the Woke Kindergarten folks to help them, and instead of helping the kids improve their math and literacy skills, they got a good dose of left wing woke propaganda such as everything is racist, cops are bad and Israel needs to go. The proof of how well this worked out is seen in the test scores which fell even lower.

When will people learn that going woke only makes things worse?

A Bay Area Elementary School has spent $250,000 on a 'Woke Kindergarten' program only to see its student's literacy and numeracy rates plunge.

The 'Woke Kindergarten' program states its mission as an 'abolitionist early learning ecosystem' that trains teachers to uproot white supremacy, disrupt racism and oppression which are barriers to learning.

After spending the federal money on the program Glassbrook Elementary in Hayward saw numeracy among its 474 students fall to a new low of just 4 percent and literacy just 12 percent.

The scores, recorded last Spring two years into Woke Kindergarten's three-year contract, represent a 4 percentage decline in each category.

The school also remains on the state's lowest-performing level on the Comprehensive School Improvement list and has a lower rate of attendance than before the program was introduced.

Test scores are dropping nationally. Not seen a breakdown by State but doubt the decline is limited to blue States or that the left is totally to blame.

And what is a woke kindergarten program?

When did the program start, and were the children's scores even related to these kindergarteners classes

 

I believe the scores have gone down. I just find the reason for the decline to be a bit suspect. Again, how does “disrupting whiteness” impact math?
Does “disrupting whiteness” somehow prevent one from memorizing multiplication tables?

 

They are like the ones that was in the news not too long ago where they were forcing the white children to arrest the black ones. but I think those kids weren't even of kindergarten age

I doubt the kindergarten class had much effect, if the students tested even participated in the class as they are older

that said, I would be against any woke type classes for these young children - teach children to get along.... not teach them some children are better or worse then other based on whatever

and never teach children they can be anything they want when they grow up (this creates narcissists), teach them anything you want to accomplish will take hard work, time and effort to accomplish

Alameda County has voted Democrat since 2020, and in the last election 80% voted for Biden.
