Kamala HO doesn't pass the smell test for a supreme court seat

1) despite being an affirmative action poster child with a father as a tenured professor at Stanford, she didn't get into any of the big three law schools in California. Not Stanford, not Cal-Berkeley nor UCLA

2) she wasn't on the law review at UC Davis

3) she wasn't in the top of her class at UC Hastings. she flunked the bar the first time she took it

4) she didn't clerk for a supreme court Justice

5) she is not well regarded as a jurist

in other words, she isn't close to being qualified

 

At one time those might be legitimate objections. But it's 2024 with a Democratic Senate and if it's politically expedient to move her to the SC to get her out of the way, Schumer would move the nomination along and the she would pass out of the Judiciary committee. The only challenge would be in figuring out how to stop Republicans from asking questions during the hearings.

 

Like I said, I don’t understand that hatred for Kamala, it IS real. The polls show that to be true

Personally I think she is a rock star, but I do have to point out that she doesn't poll very well. Hell, you NEVER see her on TV…

 

the democrats were whining about Justice Barrett because she "only went to Notre Dame" Notre Dame is ranked higher than Hastings and Barrett was -as the Dean of Notre Dame noted "the best student we have had in THIRTY YEARS. #1 in her class. Kamala Ho didn't even make honors at Hastings nor the law review. She's way way under qualified to be a supreme Court Justice

 

Like I said, it's 2024. I just don't believe Democrats are going to care if she went to the Ivy League or a community college if they can count on her voting the right way, and they can. You don't need to know much about the law to know how you're supposed to vote. Your objections are from an earlier age when things like qualifications mattered.

 

I think there are a few Democrats who would not support such an unqualified POS.

 

I think it's funny to watch the left throw their own overboard in the interest of power, one reason Bob Menendez is still a senator. Democrats care more about the power and being in control than doing the right thing and throwing him overboard. Sotomayor is an expendable pawn in the power game.

 

It's a politically-expedient solution to the problem of how to get Kamala off the Democrat ticket. As a former Attorney General, Democrats can say she's got the necessary legal qualifications (whether that's really true or not). The important thing is that she'll be 'let down easy' and honorably -- and taken out of the election spotlight! And, sure, she'll vote the 'woke', liberal Democrat Party line on every issue, so... 'why not'?

Oh, you've made me think of another reason to stick Kamala-la-la on the Supreme Court! If we really do count Kamala Harris as being "Black" ( ), then Democrats could trumpet their success in achieving a Supreme Court with THREE Blacks on it! As we've seen for over a decade, the whole "DEI" obsession is of paramount importance to all 'woke' Democrats, so, that would be 'icing on the cake'....

Just think: in a country where Blacks make up just 13.8% of the population, putting even a "Black-ish" Kamala on the SCOTUS would yield Black representation on the Supreme Court at 33 1/3%...! A positively stellar Democrat accomplishment!

I hate the fact that Biden and the Democrat party is trying to balkanize the USA into warring ethnic groups by making ethnicity and gender superior to merit and achievement.
