Asking what a national leader has accomplished is a tricky affair? Would the world consider Stalin or Hitler accomplished leaders? Certainly they "accomplished" a great deal but it's a little disconcerting to regard destruction as accomplishment. With destructive leaders and their ideologies in mind, the less accomplished the better.

Duh, placing an item on the agenda and getting things started is an accomplishment. One must admit a problems exists before it can be solved.

Bush did not have an agenda other than deregulate to the advantage of the most advantaged. You are in no position to comment. Bottom line, everyone knows who the bigots are, you can not hide behind words.

 

This is what I hate most;

From day one, every time Obama mentions; Republicans, Democrats, oil companies, the wealthy, business profits, the have-nots, fair-share, most fortunate, less fortunate, millionaires and billionaires, middle class, and so forth and so on...all of these words or statements drive a wedge between Americans...they're divisive and they're destructive and they're nonproductive...and none of them have ever solved a single problem.

All the Dems and all the Reps and those in between forget that we are supposed to be a nation of people all with similar needs and goals. That when we are at our best, we are united, which should tell us that when we are just looking out for ourselves, we are at our worst.

Long ago I wrote a thread on PF about how we use 'labels' in society and once we are labeled, or we label others, we've pretty much lost any sense of productive focus...

 

Let us remember the wealthy got what they have by stealing from working class Americans for centuries. Once we redistribute the wealth the playing field will be more even, and the world will find out who the REAL leaders are. Somehow I do not think those prep school brats are going to compete well with the street wise.

Most of the things on that list are just "he thought" about this or "he talked" about that. Like I said, I'll give him credit for legislation that was actually enacted, but not for every idea or conversation that he may have had.
