I am becoming increasingly persuaded that technology does not lead to a greater civilization and the broad civilizing of men, instead reducing the great masses to barbarism and ignorance in their lowliest manifestations. The mass media has the power to educate and enlighten but I fear that this power will only ever be used by the powerful to enslave and crush the spirit of humanity. I once thought highly of technological advancement and considered western civilization infinitely superior to the rest of the world for its unrivaled progress in this field. However, I have since seen the result of this which has been to leave the people wallowing in the pettiness of their own small mindedness and political affiliations from which no golden age can ever come. I am starting to believe that a certain state of anarchy and constant revolution is the only means with which for man to continually renew itself. I do not believe that we are heading for a dark age. I believe we are suffering one. The first nation able to rise above this I should like to call my own.

So kudos to FOX should be in order for owning up to making that mistake.
Fox News has an ever growing and long history of airing fake footage. This is not the first time. Hannity alone has been exposed by Stewart for doing it on a few occasions. In none of these incidents was the "mistake" made in a way that went against Fox News' political objectives but always to advance them.
