Does Obama have a plan for fixing the economy and bringing down the deficit?

    Apparently not.

He had the opportunity to tell us what his plan was at the State of the Union but he did not.

He told us he wanted to raise taxes on millionaires so they all pay 30%.

But Obama did not tell us how doing this would fix what's wrong with America.

Will raising taxes on millionaires fix the economy?

Obama didn't say. He didn't even bother to talk about it.

Will raising taxes on millionaires bring down the deficit?

Obama didn't talk about this either.

Obama wants to raise taxes on millionaires so things can be "fair" between Warren Buffet and his secretary.

So how does that fix anything?

Things will never be "fair" between Buffet and his secretary unless you tax Buffet at 100% and strip his wealth down to practically nothing.

    Is that the plan?

And if so, will that fix the economy or bring down the deficit?

If we strip all the millionaires of all their wealth how far will that go towards paying off the $15 trillion debt the government owes to China and other creditors?

    Obama didn't say.

Because what is Obama trying to pull with this 1% crap other than to imply that we should strip all wealth from millionaires?

If that is the plan, Obama should simply say so.

So how about it, Obama water carriers? What is the plan?

What the hell is the plan?

    No.

He is an afterthought kind of guy.

Let's face it. The deficit problem, as our liberal friends like to point out ad nauseum, has been around for a long, long time. If taxing the rich was a real solution as opposed to mere populist thinking, and he really had a plan? He would have raised taxes on the rich in his first year in office. The golden rule in politics is do all the unpopular (*)(*)(*)(*) in the first year and maybe the people will forget about by the fourth.

Instead, what did he do.? Besides Obamacare, he flooded congress is ideological pap in some kind of weird quest to wall paper the Capital in leftest manifesto.

No, if you look up the definition of populist in Noah Webster's fine work you will see his picture, lounging contentedly with his feet up on the furniture.

The only real plan he has and where the majority of the effort has always been is in his reelection......he's been on the campaign trail exclusively since November.

You understand the president is not a dictator, right?

You understand a 60-vote supermajority is required to pass anything, thanks to the new extraconstitutional Republican senate rules?

So, just how was Obama supposed to get this tax increase through the senate, given he didn't have 60 senators?

    Well he didn't cure cancer.

And he got a Nobel Peace Prize while waging two wars and then he started a third.

Obama is the most overrated person in the universe.

Obama had control of both houses of Congress for 2 years and he barely got his bills through even then. He has no concept of how to reach across the aisle and working with the other party.

When Bush was President he almost never had problems getting what he wanted because he knew how to work Congress. Also, he had a strong Vice-President to turn the screws. What does Biden do other than collect a paycheck?

During the healthcare debate Obama let Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid do all the heavy lifting while he sat back and did practically nothing. He's a very lazy man and he even admitted it on TV.

I am very well aware he did not cure cancer. What I'm saying is, conservatives will complain he didn't do X, when he did Y.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR2xeI-CBL0"]Republicans Rip Obama For Positive Jobs Report - YouTube[/ame]

They will never give him credit. Of course this isn't everyone. But from my time posting here, I can say that a majority of conservatives will critize him no matter what happens.

Obama got elected with promises of fixing the economy. After three years, he hasn't delivered. Do you think my criticism of him is unwarranted?

The video is 3 minutes long. I posted at 9:59. You posted at 10:01. How is it you watched the video in less than 2 minutes?

I didn't watch the video. If Obama posted a positive jobs report it was a lie.

Unemployment is as bad as ever. Obama doesn't even have a plan to make things better. He wants to raise Warren Buffet's taxes but he doesn't say how that fixes any problems.

If Obama has no plan to fix the economy then why the hell does he want to be President for another four years? Does he plan to spend another four years doing nothing about the economy?

    1. So you're saying, I'm going to ignore what you post up, because it might destroy what I believe?
    2. The truth is irrelevant in this case. They were presented with something that said there was job creation. They gave Obama no credit.

Well I would think the bill would have to be brought to floor for a vote and Senator Harry ‘my diaper is full” Reid will not let that happen. So as the story goes…..Obama asks and Harry Reid says no bill on the floor and the liberals cry obstruction. Blah blah blah.

Obama is not a dictator however the long time senator from Nevada has been in office as long as most other dictators. Can you say term limits.

Change in America will come when term limits are put in place for both houses.

Obama today announced that he was going to require banks to rent out foreclosed homes.
He said it was bad for neighborhoods to have empty homes. I took it as he was going to use the empty homes for section 8. OH yeah that will help the hoods.

And continue kicking con asses around the block.

And yet he overshadows any con you can name with his positives.

Too bad you, like all cons, choose to omit the fact of a world record number of con fillibusters used against him to stymie his attempts.

Hellloooo Mr. Blatantly Out Of Context!

I’m thinking the democratic senate majority leader is a closet racist. As long as he can stop the bills from reaching the floor he has complete control over the black president without being accountable. I’m telling you the man is a racist and Nancy “stretch” Pelosi is right in there with him.

How about the same way he got his healthcare through. Plenty of backroom secret promises.

OK junior it’s time you learned about congress and the senate.

Nothing goes on without the consent of the old dogs. We have a small group of hard-on’s on both sides of the isle that are ruining it for all of us. You clean up your end and we’ll clean out our end. Anybody in the house longer than two terms must go.

    Can you live with that?

If you are going to lecture anyone, you had best have your facts together and actually know something about recent history.

The post is idiotic and disingenuous. Obama had more power in the e in his first two years than he does now. He NOT ONCE in any speech mentioned increasing taxes to the rich until AFTER the OWS and the budget crisis.

He had plenty of opportunity before the rule was passed. He has no more opportunity now. So, you have proven the case that this is simply political manipulation.

Oh thank you. "The Truth is irrelevant." Perfect. There is simply no way t take that statement out of context and is probably the best motto the Obama administration could ever conceive.

    Wow.

That is one of the most irrelevant posts on record. The obvious and vacuous attempt at deflection is inane.

To take an OP about Obama's lack of aptitude for the job, his failure to elucidate a plan if he had one, his outright misrepresentations about job creation and unemployment and try to make it appear that he such criticisms are only a bias is beyond the pale and reflects a deep rooted Kool Aid mentality that is destroying the country.

Every president is subject to criticism and should be. Obama had promised to make his one of the most transparent administrations in history - just before he sealed his academic records.

To dismiss these observations as groundless bias while at the same time saying the "truth is irrelevant" shows a complete absence of logic.
