I don't have an xbox and I've no interest in Rainbow Six.

The only computer game I've ever bought was John Deere American Farmer.

I absolutely disagree with your analysis of those tapes. I dont see anything in those transcripts that corroborates the Israeli position. To the countrary, I think they are further proof that the Israelis deliberately attacked the USS Liberty. The Israelis sustained and coordinated use of combined arms on a distinct conspucuously flagged US vessel can not a result of the fog of war.

    Really?

Ignoring the fact that Israel's forces involved in the air attack were using weapons grossly inappropriate for an air attack on a naval vessel.

Absolutely right. And what could be more clear-or more honest-than personal testimony from the crew members who witnessed and experienced what happened that day:

Watch this and comment later: http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/ussliberty.html

It was no 'accident'-unless you believe accidents happen over a sustained period of a number of hours...

Like the man said-lighten up. Oh, and you're reported, yet again, for personal attacks. You don't learn, do you?

Judaism is a menace to society. Anti-semitism is normal and healthy.

Depending on your affiliation, there's plenty of reasons to be anti-semitic. Same applies for Islamophobia. Or anti-Americanism.

We all hate somebody for something.

The Iron Chancellor would be rolling in his grave over your use of the phrase 'realpolitik'. 'Realpolitik' is doing what is politically realistic and pragmatic, it is not realistic to attack Iran since it will only embolden the Iranians to get one thus defeating our goal and it is not pragmatic in any fashion to unquestionably support Israel with countless billions of dollars of aid and political capital despite no return on these investments.

You've obviously never studied incidents of friendly fire in wartime.

Even an idiot knew that the Egyptians didn't have any ships that looked like ours. It's ridiculous to think that the attack was a mistake.

You ever try identifying a ship while blazing by in a jet at a couple of hundred knots?

One of the not so well known secrets of western air forces is just how poorly pilots are at properly identifying ground (or sea) targets during combat situations.

We saw that in a number of instances in various wars this was true.

The IDF pilots attacked the Liberty with NAPALM!!!

    NAPALM!!!.

Napalm is not even on page one or two of the lists of weapons to use against sea going targets.

If the IDF really wanted to sink or destroy the Liberty, why didn't they drop a dozen or so general purpose 1,000 lb. bombs in its vicinity? Two or three hits and the Liberty would've been gone without so much as a squeak from its radio operator.

So when in doubt, pull the trigger anyway? I wasn't taught that in the Corps.

There was no doubt on the part of the pilots.

They were told that the ship was hostile so they attacked.

The IDF command center believed the Liberty had sailed away because it was no longer indicated as being in the area since the day before.

And Israel had clearly told the U.S. that any unidentified ship within a certain range of the coast would be considered hostile.

Which is why the U.S. Navy had issued orders for the Liberty to withdraw from the area.

Yeah, they would have thought that an aircraft carrier was a rowboat.

What "acts of war" for the past 33 years are you referring to?

How did Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II miss out on these "acts" ?

How is it that you are the only person in the entire world that is aware of these "acts"?

Now look into your crystal ball:

    How many Americans will die?

What is it going to cost us to pay for your war?

How do you propose to finance it?

Please tell us of your "coalition of the willing" who will join in on your crusade.

You mentioned "horrible Iranian regime" ~ the government there was democratically elected. Bush said we needed to go to war in Iraq in order to promote democratization. Since Iran does not need any democratization, wouldn't it serve everybody's interest in promoting democracy in countries where they don't have it such as in Saudi Arabia, Israel, Syria, etc ??

Iran did some things back in '80s. Killed two-hundred Marines, took hostages (two or three times). They were far from being the model country.

I hope you people just itching for war with Iran don't mind high gas prices.

Oil passed $108.60 per barrel today - that's up about 16% since December. Up over 1/3 since last October.

And I assume the price is going to keep going up as long as this saber rattling continues.

If it comes to war - oil will, IMO, probably skyrocket.

But something else that should rise will be gold/silver (which I own) - so I should financially be fine.

Where is your proof that this was the government of Iran?

According to the newspapers it was "Islamic Jihad" that bombed the Beirut barracks. However, nobody could identify who they actually were. This group has been "defunct" since 1992 and could never be traced. This is why so many people have speculated it was actually the Mossad who did it.
