2 points This is very disheartening to say the least. I strongly urge all conservative Christians to take a hard look and draw comparison to their own conservative viewpoints. It would be an understatement to say their only exists similarities. The penchant for evil against perceived evils is the true work of Satan. Not piercings, tattoos, haircuts, clothes, skin color, sexuality, or other religious theology. The destruction of civilization will not be caused by what religion perceives as wrong, but by mans own call to action against them. 2nd. I believe that this is a sign for good things ahead. The global youth are increasingly Americanized, and with a common culture and ideological focus; I see great things for foreign relations in the coming decades. Ha sadly for conservatives. The global youth is very much Liberal and Secular. They are breaking free of their fascist conservative chains. http://worldnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/10/10634539-iraqi-teens-stoned-to-death-for-wearing-emo-clothes
Muslims being their violent, intolerant selves. Yet, the progressive slime continues to defend them. .
Bad dress sense should always be deplored , Don . Good Lord . Was that am American soldier gunning down Afghan civilians . What a naughty little soldier .
Off-topic and totally irrelevant to the conversation. As for the kids in Iraq: Western dress used to be common in Iraq. The restrictions on male/female friendships also used to be light. I have a few Iraqi friends who grew up wearing western clothes, going to mixed-gender universities and socializing with members of the opposite sex. It was Hussein's administration that brought an end to all of that. Hopefully a new, democratic Iraq will bring back that freedom that they used to enjoy.
From the given link: "Iraq's leading Shiite clerics have condemned the stonings. Abdul-Raheem al-Rikabi, Baghdad representative for Iraq's most influential Shiite cleric, Ali al-Sistani, called the killings "terrorist attacks." "Such a phenonomenon which has spread among young people should be tackled through dialogue and peaceful means and not through physical liquidation," Rikabi told Reuters." Deploring bad dress sense (which is in the eye of the beholder) and killing people because you don't like their hair-cut and clothes are two very different things.
I think you should take a hard look at how people are treated in countries that promote Atheism. We have quite a few conservative Christians here in the U.S and I don't think killing people because of how they dress or what they believe is a problem. Evil is evil. Some religions...simply can't discern it.
Of course. It is the problem with their mindset. Multiculturalism trumps ....(fill in the blank) They have no character to be attached to anything. Stone a woman to death gets a pass. Limbaugh insults one, fake rage. Maher insults one, gets a pass again. Hang a gay, gets a pass. Opine against homosexualtiy, rage time again. They consist of no personal values. Odd...that is what they have produced in society.
Yes, indeed we need to emulate the good Christian power techniques of the Conservative USA Right Wing as shown by their Prophet Ronald Reagan and his Right Hand, Oliver North. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contras
????The only christian involvement in your exerpt was "The Catholic Institute for International Relations" that wrote the report on human rights abuses by the contras. And I didnt see any mention of Reagan or North. Your interpretation of the exerpt seems to have nothing to do with the content of the exerpt.
