While I have zero problem with homosexuals (or any consulting adults for that matter) marrying and think Prop 8 was wrong ... while the idea of forcing a rape victim to bear a child of rape is completely wrong to me ... I don't think that either is really of the severity of the situation from the OP. It's really ok to say "that's horrible!". No one is going to think that anyone on the left is "switching sides" simply because they acknowlege that this is bad. It's not going to kill those on the left and right to actually agree every now and again.
THe ADF, which is a consortium of chirstian lawyers, that was successful in getting prop 8 on the ballot after homosexuals already won the right to marry. The Mormons, pored millions into the campaign. Voice ones opinion and taking away peoples rights are two different things. Whether is treating women like second hand citizens, making a woman marry her rappist, or homosexuals as second hand citizens by taking away their rights, they are one in the same. Its all insanity and all dangerous.
Well, thanks for the link, but truthfully, it doesn't mean a thing b/c that's one person's opinion about religions........ To explain a little about myself - I don't like organized religions and I do not go to a church. I don't believe you have to go to a church to be a true Christian and besides, churches are just all about $$$ and lots of it.... Some of the biggest hypocrites I've met are church goers and some of the best people I've met are church goers and also some not church goers........ it all depends upon the person and what's inside them.
