Depends on how you define "capitalist". If you mean, an individual who acquires capital and control over resources and labor, then I would agree with your statement. But if you define a "capitalist" as a proponent of the free market, you couldn't be more off base. Most powerful capitalists are wealthy state socialists who hate the free market.

Cultural differences are very apparent, but they aren't the big picture. The only real difference that exists is individualism vs. collectivism, ie. the war that the state is waging on the individual. That's what you democratic socialists fail to realize.

 

Democrats and republicans differ somewhat, but not too much. Conservatives and liberals, on the other hand, are diametrically opposed. Left wingers and right wingers don't even appear to be of the same species.

All capitalists hate the free market, except when fighting elections where the electorate is mad, in which case they lie. Capitalism is the search for monopoly, everywhere.

All modern societies are collectivised and run for the benefit of the very rich. The Republican fantasy ones would collapse into anarchy at once. You obviously can't run an exploitive system without a VAST state. The only way you will get rid of the State is by abolishing exploitation.

Not all Capitalists, only some. They lie about supporting the free market, and then use the state as a tool to subvert the free market in order to burden or eliminate their competition to artificially create a monopoly.

That's not an adequate definition becuase that is a function of human nature in general. It's a function of the state as well.

Sure, many on both sides trend in the anarchy/liberty direction, but the extremists of both "wings" have an agenda of societal planning that they wish to force upon the whole of the nation, whether it's economic control or "gays keep out" signs. You listed a few examples of totalitarian left, but when one mentions Nazi Germany or Mussolini's Italy, one is forced to acknowledge their tendency toward the totalitarian right.
