    Because I'm a geoist, not a keynesian or socialist. If I called myself "liberal" then most idiots would idiotically say I'm a socialist or something..they of course already confuse geoism with socialism, but oh well.

    Liberals "attack" religion because these days religion is seen as being attached to conservative politics. In reality liberals aren't really "attacking" religion at all--they are simply acting to diminish the disproportionate intrusion of religion into government. Because they want to avoid a disproportionate intrusion of conservative ideology into government.

    Do we need them? The problem about those people is that there are no stereoypes: the worst you can say about them is observably true.
