They can't. There are no samples of Trayvon's voice and he's dead.

How do you know there are no samples of his voice?

If the evidence has no legal standing it will be thrown out of court. I said this like 12 pages ago. Try to keep up.

I'm a little confused about RP12's stance on the Zimmerman/Martin issue. In some posts he is supporting Zimmerman's version of events but in this post he is taking a legalistic stance (it may be Trayvon screaming for help, but a prosecutor couldn't prove it nor get the recording entered as evidence). What happened to proving Zimmerman was in the right?

Your confusion is not my problem. Its up to the court to prove Zimmerman was in the wrong. You dont have to prove your innocence they have to prove you guilty.

Where have i supported Zimmermans "version of events"?

So someone couldnt yell help to deflect away from their real actions till they got ahold of the gun, shot and played the victim card? Well, Sharpton and his mom did that for him, but you get what I mean.

That's why I put 'what's his name' on my Permanent Ignore list. I don't like to see precious band width wasted. LOL

I doubt that there are no samples of his voice available anywhere.

I'm sure his family and friends can produce some recent recording for forensic analysis.

I will be very suprised if it turns out that the voice screaming for help is that of Zimmerman.

If you attacked someone, and grabbed for their gun, and they got it away from you, I would just assume maybe at this point TM started screaming because he knew what was coming, just my two cents.

But that's not what it sounds like on the tape. If that is Zimmerman's voice, he would have to be the biggest p#ssy in the world because he sounds like he's being hacked to death by an axe-wielding psychopath. However, p#ssies of this caliber do not usually volunteer as patrolling neighborhood watchmen, nor do they confront suspected burglars. Ergo, it is unlikely that this is Zimmerman's voice.

It sounds more like the voice of a frightened adolescent being wrestled to the ground by a total stranger, for no discernable reason, and trying to break free out of sheer terror.

If Zimmerman had emerged from this incident with several knife wounds, I would be much more inclined to believe that it is his voice on the tape. A bloody nose and a few lumps on the head does not equate with the degree of terror heard on the tape.

But how would he sound if he tried to get Z's gun and it backfired, no pun intended? I think you would probably be pretty scared if you knew your actions were about to make you lose your life. And it could be argued by some that because Z was neighborhood watch he was a big P and had a cop complex, so it can be argued either way really.

FYI: if you've proven something false, there is no such thing as "proving it false, once again".

This article is a canard; it's in my field of expertise. I'll be commenting on it after I have breakfast.

Javis: that's not how voice recognition works. A "48%" match does not mean "48% chance". It only means that within the scope of compiled data, the tonal and inflective qualities of the compared recordings (one of which is the control: the 911 tape of Zimmerman's confirmed voice), the screaming tape illustrated matches with the verified Zimmerman voice to only about 48% of the median matches of other comparative tapes of the same person.

But here's the problem - and it supports what you're trying to say regardless:

These 'experts' should be ashamed of themselves for being co-opted by either a prosecutor - or the media - for this purpose. There is no way that they will be able to get on the stand in a courtroom and declare whether they know with any certainty whatsoever if it is Zimmerman screaming.

If I were the defense attorney, the first thing I would do to contest this "evidence presented in the media" (which is itself poisoning any jury pool), is hire my own audio expert and actually take samples of Zimmerman's own voice emulating the screaming found in that video. The sample is ludicrous: it manifests screaming at somewhere between 2-3 octaves above Zimmerman's speaking voice, and is also heavily influenced by exertion!

Any counter-expert worth a bag of sand can ruin the credibility of any claim which asserts that the 'evidence' offered in the OP supports the notion that the scream is not Zimmerman's.

How do I know? One of the things my company sells are the products which law enforcement use to record such things.

This article is one thing, and one thing only: another attempt by the media - and now by prosecutors - to try this case in the public, and flavor opinion illegitimately.

Do you somehow believe that the audio experts thus far are lying??? If not, why do you believe other experts would find a different result??

I'll bet you you're wrong about that. I'm sure his family has his voice on some recordings; it could and would be on his voicemail message, etc.

Unless the family erases all evidence of his recorded voice...for some reason.

Oh, I am sure in a few weeks the lost TM rap tapes under the name No Limit N word will come out or something. I would imagine he left someone voicemail before and now with him being gone they have it saved, all this naivety is nauseating.

No - what I've said is that their descriptions of this tape are being manipulated to mean what those anxious to defend the Martin side wish.

This "48% match" is completely meaningless: it is impossible to attain a better than 50% match of the same verified voice when two different recordings are taken at different octave and dB levels - particularly when you also introduce an 'in series' recording device (in this case, the telephone through which the screaming was captured, in series with the recording equipment at 911 HQ).

There is absolutely no way this has any standing in court whatsoever; you can book that, Dano.

Because they will be paid to find a 'different' result - and they'll be totally correct in so doing. Any doofus with a $10 voice analysing app can attain better than 48% voice analytic match simply by asking that the subject attempt to emulate in real time what they just heard on a tape.

I can sound nearly exactly like Kermit the Frog. I can also change my voice to sound like Miss Piggy - I'm actually shockingly good at both!

People's voices change tremendously from lower octaves, to higher, and from low stress, to high stress.

Like I said: you can book this. This story will have absolutely no bearing on this case in a court of law - only in the Court of Public Opinion.

It is in the Court of Public Opinion that the rules are fast and loose, and those who are looking to continue the existing and initial Martin narrative know it, and I'm sure anyone looking to stifle justice in the name of propaganda will continue to try this case there.

In a real court of law, however, the story will be wholly different.

There is only one truth. A different expert using the same software will come with the same finding. If the experts are manipulating the result, then the test has no validity.

I've never claimed that I believe that the voice expert testimony was admissible .

    You're missing the point.

You cannot expect higher than a 50% analytic match when two tapes of the SAME PERSON are compared, when one tape records that person's voice at its highest dB and octave range under stress, compared to typical tonal and dB conversational levels.

If the purpose of these comparisons is to attempt to pull from 'statistics' the truth, that attempt is going to be thrashed in Court. All that the defense has to do is have Zimmerman scream like a little girl; record it, and compare that to the recorded screams at the time of the incident, and they'll secure a much higher match - probably something in the range of 77%-90%.

Are you trying to miss what I'm saying, or literally not understanding? The experts aren't manipulating the result; the media is manipulating what the experts are saying the result is.

I would also be curious to see what the experts also said that wasn't captured by this story. We all know that interviews like this are edited all the time.

And therein lies the truth of why this story was a story. Those who hope to defend the Trayvon Martin narrative understand that things like this really mean nothing legally wrt getting a conviction of George Zimmerman...

...but they deeply understand the power of propaganda. Anyone who has to employ propaganda to win a case doesn't have a sufficiently strong case - particularly when/if the other side isn't employing propaganda themselves.

In fact, people like me are about all that someone like George Zimmerman has. It's obvious that all the facts aren't known to the public, but the public is being fed information with a clear bias towards condemning Zimmerman. That has to stop.

"The Trayvon Martin narrative" does not mean that Martin himself was speaking. HTH

I suspect he has his own voice on his voicemail with the "leave a message' standard.
