And this is what happens when someone can't tell that there are hundreds of different philosophies that fall under Communism, most of the mutually exclusive, most of them non-totalitarian.

I know that since you are a Catholic extremist you can't understand this concept but:

NOT EVERY ORGANIZATION IS COMMANDED BY A CENTRAL AUTHORITY. THERE IS NO "POPE" OF COMMUNISM.

While there are dozens of things wrong with this post, I want to point out this one.

Why does it matter what service members choose to do with their significant others off duty? Why do you feel the need to regulate the consensual sex of soldiers?

You do understand that the UCMJ law against consensual sodomy is the last refuge of unconstitutionalism in America, right? The Supreme Court declared sodomy laws unconstitutional almost a decade ago.

Am I a communist because I live in a supposedly communist country. Am I a Buddhist because I live in a Buddhist country?

What is wrong with Communism the writer Paul Lafargue the son-in-law of Marx wrote The Right to Be Lazy where Communism should not lead to working more but to end work ,at least dangerous and drudgery work or long hours, by using technology to free humans from these tasks as much as possible. And Marx did say Capitalism would lead to Communism through Socialism and that is the case it seems it just will take longer to get there.

People would be free to do things they like that could be inventing, making art or writing poetry or cooking or whatever.

Any communist can wave an American flag, to pretend to be a patriot, but this election season, let the pvsi.net banner indicate which side of America you side with, because God knows, both democrats and republicans on television, side first with special interests, before the American people. I have my suspitions why you capitalize the word comie

What can you expect?Look at all the Jews in our country, after all communism was a Jewish invention.

Jewish Responsibility for USSR Admitted by RavFrand on Tape # 126

"RavFrand" - Rabbi Frand on Parshas Miketz / Chanukah

These divrei Torah were adapted from the hashkafa portion of Rabbi Yissocher Frand's Commuter Chavrusah Tapes on the weekly portion: Tape # 126, Dreams in Halacha and Hashkafa.. Good Shabbos!

The More Things Change, The More They Stay the Same

In our own times we have witnessed the decline and fall of another 'ism' - Communism. Many people may not realize to what extent our fellow Jewish brethren originally embraced this `ism'. Jews played a prominent role in the beginnings of the Communist party.

Some Jews felt repressed and isolated by the life of the shtetl and were overwhelmed by the arrival of a new order that promised a better world. Many Jews, who had already left their faith, channeled their religious fervor into Communism. Some Communist leaders, such as Julius Martov (1873-1923) and Lev Davidovich Trotsky (1879-1940) were Jewish. For many years there was a Jewish division of the Communist party in Russia. It was not until the 1930s that Stalin came to power and 'purged' the Jews from the Communist party.

In fact, in our times, when most Russians admit to the bankruptcy of the Communist movement, many of them blame the Jews, saying, "they are the ones who gave us Communism". In a sense, they are partially right. I am not even talking about Karl Marx (1818-1883), but in a sense 'we' made the Communist party.

In this century too, then, large numbers of Jewish brethren embraced another 'ism'. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Found on ... Rabbi Yissocher Frand's Commuter Chavrusah Tapes on the weekly portion: Tape # 126, Dreams in Halacha and Hashkafa - WWW - April 10, 1998 - Placed Here to Avoid a Possible Lost Link to It...

Report of the Netherland Minister On Jewish Bolsheviks as Criminal Organization in Petrograd

    U.S. Gov't Printing Office House Document 1868 (65th Congress, 3d session- file# 861.00/8029):

Report of the Netherland Minister Relating to the conditions in Petrograd.

"Whole Soviet government has sunk to the level of a criminal organisation. Bolsheviks realise that their game is up and have entered into a career of criminal madness."

"I found it necessary to promise that Litvinov should be allowed to leave England at once..."

"The foregoing report will indicate the extremely critical nature of the present situation. The danger is now so great that I feel it is my duty to call the attention of the British and all other Governments to the fact that if an end is not put to Bolshevism in Russia at once the civilisation of the whole world will be threatened...."

"...the danger is also being realised in German and Austrian quarters. I consider that the immediate suppression of Bolshevism is the greatest issue now before the world, not even excluding the war which is still raging, and unless as above stated Bolshevism is nipped in the bud immediately it is bound to spread in one form or another over Europe and the whole world as it is organised and worked by Jews who have no nationality, and whose one object is to destroy for their own ends the existing order of things."

The above extract was taken from: "Papers Relating To The Foreign Relations of The United States - 1918 - RUSSIA (In Three Volumes) Volume I"

Printing date of the version above was 1931 and is subtitled:

"65th Congress, 3d Session ,,,, House Document No. 1868" The document is also known as "The Oudendyke Report" The above text appeared on pages 674-679 as a subenclosure under "Withdrawal Of Missions and Consuls."

From a declared communist, me. That Obama is communist, give me a break

This thread is pure trash and conspiracy. Yes it is true that there are communists in the universities, and in other areas, but no one in power. And Communists are not enemy, there is no enemy, and that you support a fascist like Maccarthy, gives a clear idea of your ideology.

If you are afraid of something you will see it everywhere. Or maybe you are looking for a scapegoat to direct your anger at. Blame all your problems on the communist, sure, I blame all of mine on self centered idiots.

While it's true that the fall of the Soviet Union and its satellite states was probably the best thing for communism, that's mainly because the Soviet Union was (*)(*)(*)(*)ing up so badly at it. Unless you're credibly going to argue that the US is closer now to the Revolution than ever before, that's hardly any real danger.

Communism requires extreme economic development. I don't think that's likely to happen with the North American Mafia Don standing in the way.

Obama isn't even remotely a communist. The man is barely a liberal. I nave never heard him suggest that private property ought to be abolished for example, nor seen any policies coming from his administration which might indicate that was a goal.

Yes, absolutely. Socialists and communists used to have far more influence over the government than they have today.

There are also libertarians and conservatives. So what? Being a communist isn't illegal in the US anymore. People can have whatever beliefs they want. Certainly there are socialists and communists in the bureaucracy--they just don't get elected.

There are communists in your communist's communists! Oh no! Get over it. There are communists in literally every walk of life... except elected positions in the state and federal governments. Communists are fairly normal Americans--and as such have jobs, work places, have hobbies, etc. Some of them work for the government, some of them work at the grocery store, some of them work in big business, etc, etc. What, did you think that communists lived without money? If they were in a society where they could do that, they wouldn't be anything unusual.

Yeah... the evils of... collective political action?! How dare they believe in something different!

You... clearly don't know what you're talking about. American socialism has always been of a substantially different character to that found in Europe and Asia. Far, far more towards the anarchist/libertarian variety than the dictatorship of the proletariat variety.

Why should they? While liberals certainly have different objectives from communists, they aren't natural political opponents either. Liberals are too spineless for that. They don't like capitalism, they just don't hate capitalism either.

What? That's ridiculous. Causing social unrest isn't the exclusive domain of communists.

I don't think that communists flock to government work with any greater enthusiasm than private sector work. If you think communists are in favor of the US government as it stands today you clearly have no clue what you're talking about.

Communists in job interviews usually just avoid talking about their political beliefs--as is perfectly allowable. Your employer really has no right to ask, nor you any responsibility to meaningfully answer. Good god, you really know nothing about this do you? Communists still fear blacklisting, they don't go proclaim their politics to an employer.

Lol. There are communoids in your cereal! They turn you into a communist!

Communism, at least as Marx and Lenin described it will eventually have NO GOVERNMENT and become semi anarcho. None of us are that lucky to have a government give up control. That's happy horse crap. All that will happen is something like out of the Hunger Games where all of the rest of us are giving a low, sustainable amount of "stuff", put up in shacks, while the elite rule some Emerald City somewhere.

It's human nature. Smart, ambitious people have never been overly compassionate people. The same drive that pushes and propels them towards gaining and acquiring more than they need or could use is the same drive enables them to squash other people that get in their way. It's all a form of competition. To the victor go the spoils and all that bombs away crap.

Am I a Communist? No. I like to think of myself as someone who would take the first spaceship off this planet if I knew I could go live in a tribal, fruit picking, farming world somewhere. I read the Gospels and I feel restored. I work at a soup kitchen. I'm happy. I watch Dances with Wolves and I feel longing. I have to put on my suit to go to Manhattan and I can't wait to leave.

LOL! I think your definition of "communism" is a bit too broad. America is not remotely communistic. We have many different parties covering the entire spectrum of ideology and three separate branches of government all fighting each other...that is not communism.
