Hipster Racism

Two things here:

1) The thread you are referring to cites scientific research in the OP. Considering how much liberals attack others for being anti-science, it seems rather odd that you would object to this.

2) Where is your concern for people that are trying to convince everybody that white people are bad? This is a much more prevalent attitude considering that it is not only socially acceptable but lucrative. If you are truly bothered by racism, why are you turning a blind eye to much larger examples while only focusing on smaller and less common ones?

 

What is the point of your question? Are you maintaining that real racism doesn't exist or are you just checking to see if I know what racism is?

 

I have pretty strong doubts as to the scientific validity of IQ tests in this context. You've got language barriers, cultural differences and a completely different necessary skillset. The validity of IQ tests in first-world industrialized nations is already suspect, so going anywhere else in the world and expecting it to be valid is kind of like asking someone to play a video game for the first time and judging their intelligence by their score.

I really don't think that anti-white racism even begins to compare to the racism faced by every other ethnic group in America. I don't believe that white people who feel they're discriminated against in America actually have any concept of what racism really is.

 

Its not "racissssss" to post facts. I mean, seriously, when you look at what humans have accomplished in Africa versus Europe, Asia, Australia, etc. it is clear that there is an intellectual gap of a pretty great magnitude. When you look at what that same African DNA has done when transported elsewhere (see Haiti) with the same (*)(*)(*)(*)ing results.....only an idiot...or a politically correct person would not observe the difference. Australia was founded by the "riff-raff" and criminals from the UK....yet they built up one of the most sophisticated and functioning societies in the world within a generation or two.....have you ever marveled at the Sydney Opera House......where is one of these in Africa built by Africans? Denying reality is not a good way to go through life.....just sayin'. As I pointed out in that thread, one of the co-founders of the DNA structure and Nobel prize winner has stated the obvious about the cognitive differences with respect to those of African descent.....kind of an expert, wouldn't you agree?

 

If you want to dispute the evidence, that's fine. There's nothing wrong with that. Just provide something to the contrary. But to just label it racist because it doesn't reflect what you'd like to see is not a logical argument. It's just an emotional reaction. But I'm sure you realize that.

Then you're not looking at the whole picture. You're only focused on certain parts of it. You need to step back and gain a broader perspective. Because what you see is not accurate. You have a very "made for tv" view of the world. There is very little anti-minority racism left in the entire country. And before you race to respond, stop and take an honest look at society today. We have a president in office today who many people only voted for because he was black. Rap is the dominant form of popular music. Countless white kids emulate black culture all over the country. In the pop culture social heirarchy, black is considered a step above white. White is made fun of for being nerdy or attacked for being bad. Black is praised as cool or pitied as oppressed. Black comics crack countless jokes at white people's expense and get paid well for it. White people even laugh at the jokes. No one tells a black joke anymore outside of the comfort of their own living room and without looking over their shoulder first. The law had already decided not to file charges against George Zimmerman, but militant black activist groups and black talking heads bullied the law into pressing charges. This same group of people printed up shirts with racist slogans on them ("(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) Ass Cracker") directly insulting Zimmerman's white half. Hate crimes laws are unevenly applied. A typical black on white crime is charged as nothing more than assault or murder. But a typical white on black crime is always, ALWAYS suspected to be a hate crime. The media disproportionately reports white on black racism and virtually ignores stories of black on white racism.

Here's what I think. I think you have a classic case of white guilt. Because you're white, you just assume that black people have it worse. And so you make these conjecture statements like white people have no concept of what racism really is. But I doubt you've ever had to walk home alone and been beaten up by a gang of black kids just for being white. I doubt you've ever worked really hard to get ahead only to lose a job to someone less qualified because they happend to be the "right color." And I doubt any of this will even change your perception. Because you're too locked into that politically correct world view that does not reflect reality at all. Like I said, it's a "made for tv" mindset. It's fiction.

Do me a favor. Wake up tomorrow with a fresh set of eyes. With no political bias of any kind. And go through your day and make honest observations of what you see with your own eyes. Not what's on television. But what you notice in the world around you. And tell me if you don't start to notice all of the ridiculous double standards.

 

What exactly is the difference between hipster racism and racism? If the comments are made with intent to offend and hurt a nation's feelings, that is racist. If they are aimed to be funny, they do not deserve the title racist, they deserve the title of "low-class".

 

Yet if a white person said this... you would have a problem.

 

I'm a Gen-Xer, but I have a lot of millennial friends. As far as I can tell, white people of both of our generations tend to just be bored with the whole race thing. We still recognize real racism, but a lot of the things accused of being racist usually aren't.

In short, we mostly stopped giving a (*)(*)(*)(*) a while ago.

A more relevant prejudice that needs to be countered is against gay people, which ironically is more common among racial minorities.

 

I'm pretty sure that's the job of the left, isn't?
I'm mean in your eyes, aren't blacks helpless victims, that can never do anything for themselves?
They'd just be better off back on the ol' plantation, were they don't have too think for themselves, and get three square meals of white guilt a day.

Ok, you're starting to catch on.

Maybe when you and yours start to address the fact that ginning up racial division, is a cornerstone of your parasitic ideology, maybe just maybe, people such as myself will start to take discussion of race and racism seriously. Until then it's nothing more than a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing farce.

 

If I knew about your life... I could use "facts" to make you look like CRAP. If you don't believe that, just look at what goes on in the political arena.

If you think that using "facts" racism cannot be communicated... you need to learn a LOT MORE.

 

I have great hope for the younger people in America. I think they are going to do a LOT of good by rejecting racism and homophobia overall. I see that promise DAILY in the military where I work. I'm happy to see culture changing right before my eyes!!

 

I wrote a long reply. The forum ate it. It's now late and I'm going to bed.

Suffice to say, I disagree. Starting with: I don't watch television. My perspective comes from dealing with reality.

Add up the number of times a black person has lost a job to a white person because of the color of their skin, and then add up the number of times a white person has lost a job to a black person because of the color of their skin. I don't think I'm the one suffering from too much political correctness -- but that can be hard to see if you think that political correctness is just something liberals do, perhaps because that's the way it sounds on television.

As long as Racism is on the agenda it's getting noticed. Ppl can figure out the disparities but when it comes down to it, western civilization is pure racism and that is why it is crumbling around your feet. Right, I'm off to get some dinner.

The whole point is that "racism" has become so diluted that nobody gives a hoot about it anymore.

Are you starting to see my point about false and hyperbolic accusations of racism desensitizing people to the point where they stop paying attention when the accusation is made? It would be laughable if the consequences weren't so tragic.

 

Racists never cared about being racist anyway. Nothing new to see here. In fact, if it wasn't a major talking point why don't you post somewhere else.

 

You can't be racist towards hipsters. They're not a race. It's a fad. Just like King of Leon, Facebook, and wearing wool hats in the summer, this 'hipster' fad shall too die out.

Actually, me and a friend were thinking of starting NHA - No Hipsters Allowed. Its clothing and merchandise promoting the rejection (NOT DISCRIMINATION) of all things hipster - constant intoxication, no value or desire for decent jobs, and their own rejection of law and order.
