So what do you have?, Prostitution means one person is willing to sell access to her or his own self (or body) for money.

In Porno, you have one person selling two or perhaps more, not even for self but just for money.

    What's the difference?

This is not free speech or even free expression.

    Both are Corruption, to Flesh.

The End of the World, is only a Life time away. Vapor.

You should take your issue to SCOTUS and see what happens before the world ends.

Can you explain why it is that money has this particular effect on "the flesh" where other reasons to engage in sexual activity do not corrupt "the flesh"? Is it a mystical power of money? Do cameras also have this power, because one imagines that even if two people make a porno and give it to the world, they'd still be corrupting their flesh, right? Without the camera, however, it's just sex.

    Both should be legal.

I've often made this observation myself--if you have sex for money in a sleazy motel, it is illegal--unless you do it in front of a video camera!

    Well, here we disagree. ;)

Don't like porn? Don't watch it...

Whether you're taking a girl out for a nice dinner for a little "quid pro quo" or leaving a c-note on the nightstand of an hourly motel, it's NEVER FREE! Hell, you should see the diamond *I* had to buy just to keep getting BJs!

Seems like that would be the appropriate free market solution.

I would have to agree with panzer. Prostitution should be legal for men and women who simply cant find mating partners as studies have shown that sex is an extremely important part of living a healthy balanced life. Its almost criminal not to let some homely man or women get some once in while.

To continue, I do not understand why sex is so demonized by some people. Its as natural as taking a crap. I'm teaching my daughter to have a wonderful and healthy sex life and not to be ashamed of it, but embrace it. That's not to be mistaken for wanting her to be a whore, its teaching her to be responsible and have respect for herself and her partner. The women who whore around with multiple partners usually coincides with mental illness and/or self respect issues, this might even be the same for men.

I took the same approach to drugs. Didn't tell her not to do them, or just say no, this approach simply does not work. I told her its her choice and if you have respect for yourself and her body its better not to do them. She responded positively and thus far she is living a well balanced and healthy lifestyle.

It should be legal simply because we are a presumably free nation. YMMV.

Great point. Prostitution should indeed be legal.
In a free, individualistic society, we should have the right to corrupt ourselves. Government should never make moral choices for us.

Prostitution should be legal, we are supposed a free society but ban paying for sex? Compared to the rest of the civilized modern world we are so backwards in the way we view and portray sex. Here in the US sex is something to be swept under the rug and never mentioned in public. I honestly fail to understand how looking at a naked woman (or man for you women) is in anyway damaging. Legalizing prostitution would generate new business and new markets, create jobs (well some), And most of all would likely lower the spread of STD's. But unfortunately in the US sex is "taboo" and should never be promoted.

I blame religion for demonizing sex.

I don't understand why prostitution is illegal. It is their body to do with what they choose. I think this is an extension of demonizing the lower economic castes. Look at any single one of Trumps lineup of wives then look at him. Those golddiggers know how its done. They certainly prostituted themselves. He's ugly and his personality is repugnant. If you have to screw an ugly troll like that every day of your life, you need a better lifestyle.

If prostitution were legal they would be able to self-employ with the same types of benefits as "escort services".

Neither do I. Plenty of civilized western first world democracies have legalized prostitution. Frankly I think making it legal and regulating it would make things safer for society in general.

Yes, but it seems that if you trade the money for food and jewelry first, the taint is gone and corruption of the flesh does not occur.

Well yes. If you spend a bunch of money on a ring and give it to her, the sex is all moral and legal. If you just hand her $2,000 you go to jail. God Bless America.

Prostitution is legal here. There's a bunch of legal and regulated brothels all over the place. This protects both the prostitutues and the clients. Plus it's taxed.

    Prostitution should be legal.

I think the distinction is that pornstars aren't getting paid for sex, per se. They are getting paid to let someone film them have sex. If two porn actors/ actresses have sex when the camera isn't rolling, they don't get paid.

What's "PRONO"? I think your keys must be stuck together from something.

It's the same way in the state of Nevada. Several of the Nevada towns I lived in had brothels, but I was totally unaware of it until someone told me about them. There wasn't any obvious affect on the community as far as I could tell. In other words, if prostitution is legalized, but regulated, it most likely won't be the society destroying thing some believe it would be.

It's one of those things which is better off, if brought out of the shadyness of the black market. But I'd prefer it to be a state rights issue, rather than a sudden nationwide legalization.
