    It is not a geographic definition but those who are part of a broadcasting union I believe several north African countries are also eligible to enter, it think at once stage it was mooted in lybia.

    Particular on Balkans, why would they cheat if the songs are good and meet some standards of quality music and get voted for that ;) as a matter of the fact Macedonia is entering finals for the first time after a long time, also it is been long time that Bosnia is not in top 10 (got 6,7,8 points from its Balkan neighbors) and Serbia was meant to win according to that, but diaspora tell you the truth made a big contribution to the high rankings otherwise Malta and such things would win :p all in all, Balkans used to send very good songs all these years and Big 5 made an exception from it's past entries this year and last year only. and that's why you get low rankings :p Cheers brotha' ;)
