I don't believe in God, but I must question why, if God hates homosexuality why would he create homosexuals? It's been proven as a physical truth that homosexuality is part of people's biology and not just a mental preference that people can change if they try hard enough. Some people are straight, some people are gay. Some people are bisexual (which is a bit more complex to explain). You can't really promote homosexuality any more than you can promote having three arms or something. What you're interpreting as "promotion" of homosexuality is actually people promoting openness, the knowledge that people are born with their sexuality and that therefore it's okay to be gay. Now the bible actually has a lot of contradicting verses in it depending on how you interpret their meanings, you could quote verses to support any argument and say that your view is supported by the bible and Christianity. But what is clear is that Jesus Christ and Christianity are for love and acceptance, I don't think that if Christianity is true Jesus would be some hateful figure that denies empirically proven facts about the biology of humans.

Why then would they be interested in human sexuality? How interested are you in the reproductive practices of ants?
