That is absolutely terrible...

 

When I was little and we first got to the US, I read comic books and it helped me learn English. Batman was my only crossover from Marvel. I keep thinking how that would have been me and my dad at the theater. Jesus, people suck sometimes.

 

Real early stuff coming out now. Reported that he had died his hair red, and was acting as "the Joker". That he was infatuated with that character.

Just speculating, but I'm guessing it was not tear gas, but just smoke. I did not see folks reacting as if it was tear gas. A simple smoke grenade would have made breathing difficult enough in a closed theater.

 

How do you know there wasn't a military veteran or a police veteran or someone who is just good at handling a weapon? For instance, I was an infantry Marine and I know how to handle a weapon in a dynamic situation like this. Had I been there and been armed, it's entirely possible I could have killed both these sickos, gas or no gas.

 

*sigh*... smh.

People are already blaming needless things. The tea-party... a war against Judeo-Christian beliefs. I wish people could just shut up for a day.

 

Just one...ya know? I can't stop crying. I just watched the President's speech and I completely agree...just one day of silence and prayer. Let the games begin again tomorrow, but just one day for these families.

 

There is a time for all things, this is the time to put aside partisan bickering and pray for peace. It is also the time obviously to remind people of their better angels and call them out for propagating a culture of divisiveness.

If that makes me "holier than thou" I'll take it. It's wrong what people are doing. Wrong.

I read he was withrdrawing from the Med school he was attending, I can only wonder what the circumstances of that withdrawl. Was the school or his family aware of any eratic behavior? If so did they report it?

It's sad, the PTSD from an event like this could last a life time and sadly now these fans of Batman may not even be able to think of Batman without trauma from this event effecting them

I guess I must be one cynical, callous miser, because this whole shooting thing has barely even registered for me. Of course, that might be because there is mass shooting almost every week in my city...

 

you know I knew something bad was going to happen having to deal with this movie when a review site called rotten tomatoes hate to hold back their reviews because they had death threats if they gave a bad review about the movie.

My heart an prayers go out to the victims and their family.

 

It's already happening. Places like Paris have cancelled the movie, and the presence of police has been beefed up in most major cities hopefully to deter a copycat. Haven't heard from Rush yet on how this is Obama's fault, but with his (Obama's) movie implying Romney is a villain, it's just a matter of time before both sides completely wig out with their own take as the movie and not the psycho that caused this tragedy.

Just wanted to know why there's such an uproar, theres mass shootings going on every day in the ghettos of America and they don't get this kind of coverage

 

It was just announced he has an undergraduate degree in "neuroscience".

 

I grew up in the worst (*)(*)(*)(*)ing ghetto in America. Please. There aren't shootings of 62 people in one pop.

 

You can't defend against a terriorist or a crazy man. This guy is clearly unbalanced I just hope that his lawyer doesn't try to get him off on some fluky insanity plea. I have 12 guns, none of them have ever been used to committ a crime of any kind so lets don't get off on the gun kick again.

 

You ever been hit by tear gas? Your abilities are severely crippled, and since these guys were wearing masks they didn't have to deal with that. with all the people running around it would be hard to see the muzzle flashes to. Its also extremely possible that if the shooting was still going on when the police got there, that you would be shot on sight because they thought you were one of the perps.
