Nah, that was BushCo. It took 'em four years but the 'Pubs are slowly but surely eviscerating the Neo-Cons.

In fact, that one of the few good things I can say about Romney, he doesn't much like Neo-Cons and he's been maneuvering to avoid them.

Google it. People HATE Romney. The super wealthy dig him, but everybody else despises him.

If the Republican party is a "relic from the past," then what exactly is the future? And if most people cannot see the value of the Tea Party's message (the basic principles the country was founded on), then they deserve what they get when they vote Democrat and they shouldn't complain when it doesn't work out.

    Actual socialism.

Right, because everyone who thinks the TP has good ideas but sucks at actually following them (because they actually pay attention) must vote Democrat.

Exactly How is the tea party supposed to enact it's ideas when half the house and 2/3 of the senate is controlled by it's opponents both on the Republican side and on the Democratic side.

Only 10 posts to go from a alleged 'independent' to a dyed-in-the-wool lefty.

Shocked - you could knock me over with a feather.

I don't know in what universe 191 is half of 435, when the majority is 241.

And by the way - not being able to enact your ideas is understandable. Ron Paul hasn't been able to enact his ideas because virtually all of Congress has been against them. But voting AGAINST your ideas - as a vast majority of the Tea Party members of Congress have done - is not in any way supportive of your so-called ideals.

That's not the future. That's repeating failures of the past.

Not with actual socialism, no. It would be completely avoiding Stalinist and post-Stalin Russia, China, etc. and focusing more on fine-tuning Titoist, Paris Commune, pre-fascist Spanish socialism.

Where did you get the idea that all Republicans in the House are Tea party members?

So are you now trying to tell me that you know the voting record of every tea party Republican in the house? Hell I wouldn't guarantee you even know what the driving force of the teaparty is?

Yes, yes, I'm sure it would. Until you realize that people don't want to comply with your system and the only way to keep it intact is through tyranny. That's how collectivism works in real life.

They are practically identical with the same agenda, so who cares?

Well, almost all of them, yes. Some of them I haven't bothered to look at yet. It's public record, dude. It's not like they hide it (although recently there was a bill going through the House and Senate to try to take away our sovereign right to know every bill that gets put before them).

Unless you're still in fantasy land, it should still be low taxes and small government.

The Paris Commune would disagree very strongly with you, as would every libertarian/anarcho-socialist, libertarian/anarcho-communist.

Tea party republicans are the same thing as regular republicans, despite the name change and despite the tea party base thinking otherwise. If they are part of the republican party, they are part of that political party's agenda. Which is nearly the same as the democratic party agenda but with less collateral benefits.

I think they have extinction on their mind.

Another K-T event is upon them.

Only small creatures will survive it.

I'm sure they would. They still believe in fairy tales.

Yes. They are a fringe minority called Occupy Wall Street. The majority of the country involved in politics is over 25 years old and understands how the world really works. They understand the basic law of cause and effect that the Occupiers do not grasp. Then, of course, you've got delusional people like Michael Moore who took full advantage of the capitalist system, became a self-made millionaire, and now uses his capitalism-generated millions to ironically tell other people that the system doesn't work and that they can't do what he did.
