Did you find yourself pissing on fire hydrants? That's how I found out.

If you are correct, IF, then why do you prefer the shackles and chains of an out of control govenment?
It is nice to have choices. Personal choices. But do you really believe that drivel that you are going to destroy a business by not going there? All you are doing is torturing yourself for some unrelated emotional reaction instead of a serious application of common sense.
They are not anti-gay. You're just buying into the hype.

The local newspaper had a big expose on Mexican restaurants serving dog meat..(think I like 'puppy' the best, which was tender like veal)

Well as an 8-yr over-the-road trucker (where the 4-wheelers tied up all the Rest Areas), I did that naturally...as in 'any port in a storm!'

How long each time and in each country?

    So you're a collectivist?

That is how it has always been meant to be. The Founders themselves hated majority rule.

Well, you are overstating things by saying the government is "out of control". It may not be acting in the manner you prefer, but it is being controlled nevertheless. We don't ALL agree upon what government should or should not be doing...etc. (there is nothing new about that).

Even so, where it comes to me choosing between what some CEO or some corporation could/would do for me as one individual in a vast public... I'll take the government virtually every time. Oh yes, I've had more and better attention from government, (overall) than I've ever gotten from any large corporation. And Lord knows, I don't expect Chic-fil-A to do what is best with the MONEY I hand them (no, not at all). Social-shackles for the price of a good chicken sandwich? (No thanks.)

And corporations don't ALWAYS offer those. Government offers choices them in many cases. That's not perfect, but certainly not the oppressive evil that so many claim that it is.

Please, read for the meaning of what I write... not what you want to say through what I write. (Where did you get that silly notion?)

We disagree. And as I said to someone before... you do what you must. Eat as much of that food as you will; but you won't see me there, and I will not have contributed further to what I view as abject bigotry and homophobia (masquerading as good food).

This is not even worth debating with you now.

Do you think that the MONEY or wealth of that corporation (Chic-fil-A) will hinder or promote the rights of homosexual people??!! (Come on... the answer is right in front of us all.)

Well, I chickened (hah!) out again. I meant to go eat at Chick-fil-a, but went to Zaxby's instead.

I can't help it. I'm just naturally a Zaxby's guy. I mean, buttered Texas Toast as a side? Best fast food hot wings evar? Brownie milkshake?

Chick-fil-a just can't compete with Zaxby's when it comes to my taste buds :p

And anyway, pretty sure Zaxby's is a Christian chain too. They are always playing Christian worship music.

7 yrs total, mostly Germany & England (and 9 mos in Libya)

If you call it 'Capitalistic Collectivism' where each individual has the opportunity to excel on their own talents, but with the mind set to contribute to society as a whole--not collectivism that one finds in an ant pile or bee hive, as we are more than creatures of base instinct as being the thinking species who have grandiose ideas and do great works.

The Founders hated monarchy but enjoyed the colonial freedoms to 'do their own things' and not be over-managed by giant Govt. When Govt becomes the majority, everybody loses their freedoms..unless one considers 'entitlement dependency' a 'freedom' (as in living off other ppl's work & wealth)

Chicken is just 'recycled plants!' Grain, etc. And really is no different than say, 'nut meat.'

I think I've whizzed on a lot of things in my travels, but I can't say I've ever whizzed on a fire hydrant. A mesquite or prickly-pear maybe.

I thought big rigs had a way of handling that particular situation.

Boycotts are only effective when done in large numbers. Otherwise, they tend to be a joke, and end up as fodder for ridicule by whatever group you're trying to boycott.

I've never been to a chickfilet(not spelling it their fancy way). I've never really had anything against them, I just haven't been to one. I won't go now though. They are entitled to their opinion, but my dollars aren't going to be spent to help them promote their discriminatory views.

'Depends'..well those are for the incontinent truckers. Pee cups, pee bottles, etc, I never liked, as a co-driver of mine spilled his in the sleeper area and the inside stunk for weeks..also why I became a 'solo' driver.

Saw a program once on 'Why we as a human species can take our own 'bodily fluids/farts, et al, but others can make us puke!' Altho, old urine reeks (esp if running dehydrated, which most truckers do) no matter who's..<cough, hack>

Maintaining hygiene was the hardest thing about OTR driving...(public restrooms, showers, tight delivery schedules, etc.) And just as I love camping, and as a kid lived in my Gma's house in rural area with outdoor toilets, as I get older I hate to give up 'indoor plumbing!'

I have a Land Cruiser that I consider a 'big rig'. Once it gets up momentum, I hate to stop for anything because I know it's going to cost me $4 just to get it back up to 75. I've been working on a pee-to-petrol device, but it just seems to clog up the injectors to this point.

I think that may somewhat true.

I would consider the political nuances, as related to the actual money that may be spent on various campaigns.

After all, alienating a sizable fraction of those who might be (or become) patrons, likely affects the bottom line.

Even if only 50,000 people stop going there for the next few years... it will affect them.

Suggest drinking more 'alcohol, and I recommend 120 proof Everclear, which shud take care of your problem. But stay away from eating corn-on-the-cob, as ethanol will clog them up..

Gotta go, Phoebe, but I suggest that you dont park your 'big rig' Land Cruiser out back with the rest of the big rigs at the TTT truckstop in Tucson where we both live, as you may have some drivers show up and offer you $$ that you werent looking for! Also, you wouldnt like the nationally-famous "Omar's Hi-Way Chef Restaurant" there, as they serve big meals loaded with grease..mmmmmmmmm..Hasta

I imagine you get 4-5 mpg in your rig. That's what I used to get driving a school bus while in college. My Cruiser doesn't do a whole lot better'n that. Maybe 8 or 9 with the wind from behind. I was a fool to buy it, but I love it.

I'll take the Everclear suggestion under advisement, but I do like my Beam.
