Yep, the high and unstable price of gas is another Democrat Gift to We the People! Democrats prevent more oil refineries from being build, prevent the Keystone Pipeline from being build, and the Democrat/Progressive created EPA mandates many formulas of gas from the limited refineries making gas more expensive due to unconstitutional Democrat regulation. I guess we can add all that money to the extra money Democrats cost us when we buy a car, fill that car up, and now buy a pizza just to name a couple of normal activities.

Thanks for mentioning gas, as much of the cost of gas is inflated by Democrat policies/intervention.

Can anyone give more examples how Democrats raise the cost to the American people on anything and everything, lowering their standard of living?

Wow that went right over your head didn't it. Let me clue you in, it dosent matter that you dont like Papa Johns pizza the OP was trying to make you understand that everything will go up due to Obamacare. Every buisness will pass these costs on to consumers, its a fact that some folks are going to have to come to grips with.

Now not only will the uninsured still be uninsured, they won't be able to afford pizza either.

No businesses can raise their prices for whatever reason they wish, including Obamacare. I just don't see a reason other then a political scare tactic for them to have an article printed about how burdened they will be because of Obamacare and how wink wink customers will have to pay for this burden.

I do not think Obamacare will help people out all that much, but I do feel that medical/ dental coverage should be looked at as a social service for all.

The owner of the company was giving this information to stock holders. When you own and run a business, your job is to create profit so that those who invest in your company get a return on investment. If their is an increase in cost of doing business, that will be passed on to customers, the board and share holders have the right to know why it is being done and how it will be done.

This is not a scare tactic, its just business as businesses are ran.

 Now just who do you think makes those brands to which you are so loyal? People or Corporations?

Keep waging war on corporations and they will close shop. Tell us all what YOU even know how to do to self-sustain? Do you make your own clothes, food, or gas? Do you make your own car? Tell us all what YOU do or make.

I disagree, the article is certainly a scare tactic in my opinion. Anyway the last paragraph gave me a chuckle.

"Schnatter, a Romney supporter, held a private fundraiser for the GOP presidential candidate at his Kentucky home in April"

I think people are kidding themselves if you think Romney is going to truly repeal Obamacare.

What's wrong with warning consumers and voters about what is going to happen while there is stll time for them to avoid it by voting the Democrats out of office in November?

Ah, I think you should do the citations! :angered: Either something is impossible; it can't happen (because it never has), or it occurs with some frequency. The OP shows prices will go up at least in one place. I have found other such examples before. I believe it is YOUR burden to show that those occurrences ARE NOT a TREND, or a Democrat Gift of a lower standard of living unless YOU are arguing that because of Obamacare we all will get pay raises...

Because its just an election talking point. Even if Romney ended up being elected and actually repealed it, in my opinion, he probably would just be replacing it with identical legislation under a new name.

Just make the pizzas smaller and sell them for the same price.

    "Same great pizza, healthier portions!"

YOu are entitled to your opinion.

But in my opinion it is doing the public a service for Papa Johns to tell them in advance how to avoid that special cost increase for their pizza's.

If I posted daily 12 hours a day it would take 10 years to type out how Democrats raise cost to the American people. None the less one that has just killed us in the last 30 years is Ethanol. Food has tripled in some cases since we started using Ethanol in our gasoline and the price of corn is 350% higher than it was before we started to use Ethanol. With the drought this year food cost will skyrocket. Just to add insult to injury Ethanol has cost us billions of dollars in motor repairs, and now this Moron wants gas to contain 15% Ethanol (currently its 10%) Thank the Dems and the Peanut Farmer Jimmy I am dumb as a box of rocks Carter for starting this wonderful program based in good intentions.

And the only reason we have ethanol is because the crazy environmentalists think we have to have it to save the planet from global warming.

Now food prices are going through the roof thanks to their wacky policies.

It will not only be Papa Johns pizza that goes up in price.

Consumers will see an increase in everything they buy.

They will see it, and respond accordingly by not buying as much. Here comes the next recession. Thanks Obama!

14 cents?!?! NOT 14 cents??!?! How will I EVER afford that?? Oh wait, I don't eat Papa John's anyway.

The uninsured currently cost taxpayers $1000 annually to cover them. But let's keep paying that rather than an extra 14 cents for crappy pizza.

The cost of everything you buy will increase. Be sure to thank Obama when the sticker shock finally sinks in.

Yes. Yes. Prices will go up. The country will disintegrate. Meanwhile we already pay through the nose for people who are uninsured.

Funnily enough, Romney was quick to practically suck off Israel when praising their healthcare system. Which is socialized AND has a mandate.

All we are going to do is change the source where we pay. Instead of paying the insurance companies through high premiums we will pay when corporations useit as an excuse to raise their prices. Tomato/ tomatoh. But please keep up the fear mongering. I work in health care so I know what the uninsured cost us every year. You are paying it anyway.

That's their policy on gasoline. Might as well put it into effect with food, as well. What better way to cure the obesity epidemic than the starve people a little?

I agree that the uninsured are costing taxpayers a lot. Many are illegal aliens who liberal Democrats insist help our economy and want to keep the border open. If we got rid of those people, we'd have very few people in this country without health insurance that actually want/need it. 85% of the country has health insurance. The other 15% is eaten up mainly by illegals and young people who really don't need full coverage. If it wasn't such a heavily regulated market and the Government was not so firmly entrenched, insurance companies could compete and offer these young people plans tailored to their needs. Instead, they will need to buy the same policy an 80 year old man needs.

My tax amount is not going down. Whether these people are draining resources from Hospitals or being subsidized, they're still getting a free ride on the taxpayer dime. What, exactly, is Obamacare supposed to fix? The extremely poor and illegals won't be forced to buy a policy. All this is going to do is increase prices on everything we buy, which will hurt the poor most of all.

No matter how many good intentions liberals have in their policies, their short-sightedness and general ineptitude practically guarantees failure.
