Regardless of whatever concrete thinking is going on in someone's head the latest research on dietary fat (from JAMA) and multivitamins is definitely pertinent to any intelligent discussion of healthy living and junk food like pizza.

So not a single credible source who can substantiate your claims about pizza, poison, and healthy living? Didn't think so.

Multiple sources including JAMA have been posted. All you have to do is read the quotes. Not difficult.

Typical liberal quote, take a job that you know in advance what the deal is and them complain. You are not bound to work there, quit, start a company and pay yourself what ever you want. I know you don't know how to start a company but live to critize those that do.

The rich don't have to suffer like we do, they have personal Chefs, like the british man Ramsey, to make all their O'choice pizza pies.

We however must suffer, because its a bad economy and we can't afford to pay higher prices for pizza, and we don't know how to make it for ourselves.

On top of that, we have to pay for expensive statin drugs for our cholesteral after we eat this pizza, and can't afford health care. Make them pay for us this November.

The Papa Johns across the street from me pays minimum wage, they also get gas mileage and they keep all their tips. I honestly wish people would learn about a business before they claim to be the (*)(*)(*)(*) wikipedia editor of Papa Johns. I worked inside of a Papa Johns when I was a kid, so let's just say I know more than you on this particular subject. Everybody who worked their got paid Illinois Minimum Wage. Drivers got tips in addition to their Illinois Minimum Wage.

Why are you talking about this even?

Jeb, do you think you can just falsely accuse me of something and pretend like it didn't happen? Why don't you do the right thing and retract your false statement?

None of your sources say that pizza is poison, nor do they contradict my claim about moderate consumption of pizza being healthy. In other words, you got nothing but lies and deflections. And you fancy yourself some kind of big shot intellectual? What a joke...

Plenty of other chains out there. However, I think its always best to get pizza from a local joint. That way your supporting a real local business, and your money is staying in the community, not to some millionaire CEO who will store it off shore. Local pizza places also are usually much better quality and the prices are usually similar to the big chains. For instance, I could go a few blocks from my house to the local pizza hut where a pizza will cost 10 dollars and be of questionable quality, or I could go the same distance to an Italian restaurant actually owned, run and cheffed by a man from Sicily who had a restaurant there for over a decade, and get a pizza there for 14 dollars that will taste like something fit for a god.

Really don't understand the ”Plenty of other chains out there” argument... If the government does something to increase the cost-of-doing-business say 10% all businesses will have to pay an extra 10%. So, what does the argument of "Plenty of other chains out there" even mean? Either all the other businesses will EAT the extra expense, or they will pass it along. No business will EAT such an expense if they CAN pass it along, meaning they will be waiting for their competitors to do it first. Well Papa John will be one of the first to so pass the expense. Really, please explain what "other chains" you will patronize that won't increase their prices... Do they deliver from the North Pole?

Don't think that’s far away. Bloomberg is about to tax large sugary sodas in New York. Alcohol and tobacco has been heavily taxed for years. Some talk about a “calorie tax.” :omg: If people don't have a right to define themselves without government punishment, what "rights" do they have?

    "define themselves?!"

    You mean like this...

That's not a "right" I'm going to fight for. Yuck.

And after you guys abuse your bodies you will burden all of us with your healthcare bills.

The idea thought that just "eating fast food" will make you obese is hogwash - it's a matter of calories in vs. calories out, not just "eating" a certain type of food. If a person ate about 60 cans of green beans a day (which is about 4,000 calories) then they would still become obese.

Plus such regulations are ineffective - if a person can't buy a 24oz soda, he'll just buy two 12oz sodas instead. They only serve to create annoyance more than anything else.

We Agree! It sounds like YOU TOO have a problem with Socialism, or where everyone is responsible for everyone else. You know we are our BROTHER's keeper. Sounds like slavery to me. Another part of the Constitution Democrats want to illuminate when they can FORCE people to do that which they don’t want as if we were al SLAVES of the STATE. :omg:

While what you say is true, in theory, we live in a little place called reality. In reality McDonalds does not have 14,000 locations in the US alone because people eat their awful food in moderation. And I've never met anyone who was physically able to eat 60 cans of green beans a day. By the way if you did that you would still be much healthier than someone who ate 4,000 calories of McDonalds a day as long as you ate a few other legumes to get all your essential amino acids. You certainly wouldn't get colon cancer and the chances of heart disease or prostate cancer would be slashed.

Better get some Beano though or your spouse is gonna hate you!

It's unlikely that anyone would eat 60 cans of green beans a day, because the nutritional density of green beans will fill one up quickly and leave them feeling full for a long time. You probably wouldn't be able to get 60 cans of green beans down in one day actually.

On the other hand, fast food garbage like McDonald's is high in calories and low in nutritional density, so you can eat a Big Mac with fries and then be hungry enough to eat the same thing again 2 hours later.

It's either an all or nothing deal - either ban fast food/cigarettes/etc altogether or tax it so high that only the rich can afford to eat there - the wussy taxes and regulations you guys push for aren't going to deter anyone, just create annoyance or drain more money from the poor people who are the main consumers of McDonald's "food" to begin with.

Of course I have a problem with socialism! I have never said I love socialism. It is a necessary evil. If you read any of the more substantial posts I only resort to socialism when there is no other practical solution. As long as Reagan's socialist law forces all EDs to accept any Joe Blow that abuses their body we will have socialized medicine. The question is how do we pay for it? Do we use our haphazard fragmented inefficient current system that gives irresponsible people a free pass or do we mandate that those free loaders get insurance? The choice is yours. But once Reagan injected socialism into the equation we were screwed. The only other solution is to repeal Reagan's law and bar the uninsured from EDs.

The poor people are the "main consumers" of most things. That's why they are called the 99%.

You have no idea which taxes and regulation I have "pushed for."

I don't blanket accept or reject every tax or regulation the Democrats or Republicans propose. I am an independent thinker.
