Why is there so much angst here about a small South Pacific nation?

    Is New Zealand too free to please Americans?

    Do Americans resent that we exclude their vaunted navy?

    Is it a response to the fact that most Kiwis dislike them (according to polls not conducted by Rasmussen)?

    That idea is reduculous considering how close NZ is to China. You'd get owned, the US army wouldn't make a decision that stupi-oh wait, Vietnam. Never mind.

    We are already in their backyard, NZ, will be an easy conquest.

    SINGAPORE—The United States will move the majority of its warships to the Asia-Pacific in coming years and keep six aircraft carriers in the region, US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said here on Saturday, giving the first details of a new military strategy to increase US presence in Asia.

    Panetta provided some of the first real details of the Pentagon’s impending pivot to the Pacific. He said the US would reposition its Navy fleet so that 60 percent of its warships would be assigned to the region by 2020, compared to about 50 percent now.

    The Navy would maintain six aircraft carriers assigned to the Pacific. Six of its 11 carriers are now assigned to the Pacific but that number will fall to five when the USS Enterprise retires this year    .

    There's not, actually. For all intents and purposes, most Americans just consider New Zealand part of Australia. And some of them can't even locate it on a map. The only reason there is any "angst" on this forum is entirely because of you. Because you make it your mission here to incessantly troll in every single post and bash America for whatever reason, you have managed to finally elicit some counter-trolling. Crack open a cold one, my friend. You've finally gotten that attention you wanted. Do you feel validated now?

    What are you talking about? No one even thinks about New Zealand until you remind them. You're lucky that way. You're on the bottom of the world and people forget about you. This is a good thing.
