    NO BOUNCE FOR ROMNEY

Republican Convention Has 'Minimal Impact' For Mitt Romney, Poll Suggests

    By Mark Blumenthal | HuffPost | 09/03/2012 10:41 pm

WASHINGTON - “Polling tracking the impact of the Republican convention has been sparse, but on Monday the Gallup Poll weighed in with a new survey showing the convention had only a "minimal impact" on the fortunes of Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

In interviews conducted over the three days since the close of the Republican convention, Gallup found roughly the same number of Americans saying the convention made them more likely to support Republican nominee Mitt Romney (40 percent) as saying it made them less likely to support him (38 percent).

This self-reported measure should not be interpreted literally since, as Gallup points out,
Republicans overwhelmingly said they were more likely to vote for Romney and Democrats largely said they would vote against him, as the partisans on both sides were already supporting their party's nominee. When compared to results from similar surveys conducted following conventions back to 1984, however, these questions provide what Gallup described as a "rough approximation of the conventions' relative impact," since they have asked the same questions following each convention.

By that measure, the 2012 Republican convention had the lowest-ever self-reported net impact on voter intentions ever (+2, the difference between the more and less likely percentages), just slightly lower than the Republican conventions of 2004 (+3) and 2008 (+5).

Gallup’s Daily Tracking Survey has shown no movement at all over the last three days.

Their latest release as of this writing, which still includes two days of interviews conducted just before the Republican convention began, shows Obama edging Romney by a single percentage point (47 percent to 46 percent). That result has not changed over the last five days of Gallup's tracking and is virtually unchanged from the prior seven days of interviewing conducted a week ago (which showed the candidates tied with 46 percent each).”

    ......

Of course we all knew that the Republican convention was a major flop, and all due to the fear that permeated the whole convention. The convention itself seemed totally unscripted, and unplanned and disorganized. Clint Eastwood got more media coverage than Mitt Romney...not a good thing. Hence his ratings would have little or no bounce.

A big bounce after a convention usually shows the ultimate winner because it shows the candidate connected with the people. But Romney collected next to nothing for his evening that cost the tax payers over $8Million dollars plus whatever the donors in this era of purported austerity.

Yea well things do change, since Romney is leading by nearly 16% in the independent voters the results are already in, just how big of a blowout to you want Obama to suffer? As the Nation is more divided such things as swing voters are simply not there. Plus your polls that are all over the place have been proven to be no more then a "LIE", even respected democratic pollsters as Carville an Greenberg have demostrated.

    Heh,
yet after Obamas campaign spending hundreds of millions of dollars on attack ads, nearly going into debt they still cant shake Romney off in the polls.
And Romney can now use campaign cash that was being held now that he is officially the nominee.
Face it,Agent.Obama can't brag about his record because it's horrible. And the Bain ,taxes, class warfare, and "War On Women" attack ads are old, stale ,and are proving to be ineffective.

No doubt in my mind, they thought that Romney would be gone by now are so low after the media blitz they put on but if one thing Romney is, is a survivor in this game, but that is Romney, they should of done some research before spending all their money. Now Obama gonna have to spend half of the time left raising funds so he can try to compete but he is a dollar short an a day late. Yet obviously as we know the libturds really can't handle money, may it be the publics money or their money.
