The individual cannot move society forward. Even people living in tribal communities many years ago understood the importance of a collective society that shares the burden. How is it that anyone living today could be as backward as republicans? There isn't a person alive who doesn't largely owe their achievements to the government they live under. Shared success/burdens and sharing in general may be a foreign ideals to republicans but no matter who you are you didn't get where you are today without help.

Ann Romney's speech was vapid and empty. Michelle Obama's speech was passionate and real.

    ......

Michelle's speech: BOFFO !!! SPECTACULAR !!! INSPIRING!!! MOTIVATING !!! HEARTFELT!!! SINCERE!!!

Every speech tonight was a winner, Castro from Texas was fantastic !!! Nancy Pelosi was so great, as always !! There was such a difference in the republican funeral convention and the Democratic convention and it was all palpable fear showing in the republican fiasco, and all warmth, inspiration, and hope in the future in the Democratic convention.

    Hasta la Vista...!!!

This statement would in and of itself be hilarious, but coming from someone with a name like "free4all" pretty much takes it up to a comedic level that has no adjective appropriate for it.

Don't count on him having the mental faculties necessary to tell the difference.

The only speech that showed potential was Castro's. He was great up to the DREAM crap, that won't resonate with the voters that matter.... You can't have 40+months of 8%+ unemployment and think people will be happy with millions of new competitors to the market done completely by Executive Order... Every other speech was all fluff no substance...

I watched speech tonight. After watching that 3 ring circus of (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s I can't see how much more painfully obvious does it have to be that she wouldn't know her own ass from a tree stump if she used both hands and close up photo's.

Exactly what part of MObama's address did you find filled with "government authoritarianism"? And where was the "communism"?

So did Michelle finally admit shes proud of America or does she still hate it?

She probably has a better opinion now that the working man has sent her on so many free vacations.

Which parts weren't? It was a whole lot of what Barack and government can do for you, not much of what we should do for ourselves...

I mean specific parts. If it was full of them, that should be pretty easy right?

Actually, no... Where did she ever once talk about personal responsibility besides her praise for her dad, who actually took some???? Odd isn't it? Such duplicity is common on the left, praise all sorts of personal sacrifice from parents to give their children a better life then turn around and tell us its the government's job, how (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up is that?

I didn't listen to most of it but the style an subject (parents, young life of a couple the devotion to children) of speech, it seems to me she was trying to duplicate Ann Romney's speech.
