It seems that many black clergy in the US are telling their flocks to STAY HOME on election day, not wanting to vote for Romney, but ALSO UNHAPPY with BARACK OBAMA's "pro-gay marriage" stance:

    African-American Christians waver over vote

Some black clergy see no good presidential choice between a Mormon candidate and one who supports gay marriage, so they are telling their flocks to stay home on Election Day. That's a worrisome message for the nation's first African-American president, who can't afford to lose any voters from his base in a tight race.

The pastors say their congregants are asking how a true Christian could back same-sex marriage, as President Barack Obama did in May. As for Republican Mitt Romney, the first Mormon nominee from a major party, congregants are questioning the theology of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its former ban on men of African descent in the priesthood.

In 2008, Obama won 95 percent of black voters and is likely to get an overwhelming majority again. But any loss of votes would sting.

"When President Obama made the public statement on gay marriage, I think it put a question in our minds as to what direction he's taking the nation," said the Rev. A.R. Bernard, founder of the predominantly African-American Christian Cultural Center in New York. Bernard, whose endorsement is much sought-after in New York and beyond, voted for Obama in 2008. He said he's unsure how he'll vote this year.

Black church leaders have begun get-out-the-vote efforts on a wide range of issues, including the proliferation of state voter identification laws, which critics say discriminate against minorities. Last Easter Sunday, a month before Obama's gay marriage announcement, the Rev. Jamal-Harrison Bryant of Baltimore formed the Empowerment Network, a national coalition of about 30 denominations working to register congregants and provide them with background on health care, the economy, education and other policy issues.

Yet, Bryant last month told The Washington Informer, an African-American newsweekly, "This is the first time in black church history that I'm aware of that black pastors have encouraged their parishioners not to vote." Bryant, who opposes gay marriage, said the president's position on marriage is "at the heart" of the problem.

Evan as the desperate Obama Adm./Campaign tries to play "Whack-a-Mole" with both the failing economy, pathetic jobs numbers, and their pathetic attempts to play down Obama's support in deposing our allies, and empowering the VERY ENEMIES that now beseige our enemies, it appears trouble is brewing in his OWN BACKYARD.

The Obama Liespeak Re-election Campaign is in SERIOUS TROUBLE....

Yes, this is the stance of most of my Christians black associates. Hate Romney, but wont vote for Obama. I have to respect them for sticking to their morals.

Remember in '08 how Prop 8 in California passed. Obama brought out more black voters to the polls, and in California while they were there in the booths, blacks overwhelmingly voted for Prop 8.
Makes you wonder what would have happened then had Obama's stance on gay marriage "evolved" to where it is now ?

    Ooops.

Bet he didn't see that coming when he decided to pander to that segment of his base.

Excuse me, "evolve" in his views.

Can't decide who they hate most eh? I guess the important thing is that they're focusing on the most vital issues to the USA and wider world an not getting distracted by petty things like the financial crisis or war and destruction across the world.

ObamaCo, the professional left, and their complicit alphabet media has completely squashed this.....

but they weren't at all shy about going after ONE rich, white, business owner's (<---quintessentially right-wing, and by extension, capitalism) Christian beliefs on gay marriage.

I can't stress this enough...."The War" is between command economy collectivism and economic freedom...
the progressive left proves it with every word and action.

Black people certainly have no reason to vote for Obama, but because of legitimate reasons, not this.

Well, I'd say he should use his church-y voice on them, but I doubt they'd buy it now.

They are entitled to their views, but how they can be missing the major issues is a good question.

And, morally speaking, how about the abortion genocide of black babies, who are aborted more than any other children in America.

I know I am kidding myself but is there a way to talke color out of the campaign. A lot of us are not happy with gay marriage and it has nothing to do with color. Let just work on what is right and wrong. Our pastor the other day siad there are three sides to every issue. Your, mine and the truth. I believe that this is correct.

Oh, is that so? Please provide your proof of ths stated religious affiliations of abortion customers.

What does religious affiliation have to do with the genocide by abortion of black children in the US?

Or are you just making up bullcrap again?

    "U.S. Abortion Statistics"

    http://www.abort73.com/abortion_facts/us_abortion_statistics/

"43% of women obtaining abortions identify themselves as Protestant, and 27% identify themselves as Catholic (AGI)."

for those two groups of Christians equals 70% of all abortions right there alone

Sorry, but I have to call "BULLCRAP" on your bogus source.

It cites the CDC as its source, but that is also BULLCRAP. The CDC does NTO ASK RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION in its survey.

Only AGI asks that, and its numbers are FAR DIFFERENT than those from your source:

In 1987 and 1995, AGI collected information nationally on the socioeconomic characteristics of approximately 10,000 women obtaining abortions. The results of the 1995 survey show that the women who are most likely to obtain an abortion have an annual inco me of less than $15,000, are enrolled in Medicaid, are aged 18-24, are nonwhite or Hispanic, are separated or never-married, live with a partner outside marriage and have no religious affiliation . Catholics are as likely as the general population of women to terminate a pregnancy, Protestants are less likely to do so, and Evangelical Christians are the least likely to do so.

    http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/ib14.html

And AGI is part of PLANNED PARENTHOOD, so any of their data is SUSPECT, in the first place.

More bullcrap. I don't believe that women provide this type of information, when seeking an abortion, which changes the FACT that the overwhelming majority of abortions are on black children, followed by hispanic children, in NO WAY.=EUGENICS.

They have to choose between their welfare, and their christian beliefs.

When the (*)(*)(*)(*) hits the fan, food makes more sense than God.
